Rowansky quietly slipped out of the nursery, the brisk air greeting her like a slap to the face. Shivering under her thin ginger tabby pelt, the young queen approached one of the warmer sunning rocks, languidly climbing the flat obstacle and reclining on it with a thankful sigh. She was thankful that Lightfall and Mothbriar volunteered to keep an eye on her kits so that she could have a breather.
A figure passed her vision, and she perked up. Smiling, she called, "Good morning!" It was time for her to regain her social skill, and what was better practice than to greet a fellow clanmate?
(Let the rolo commence!)

The one-eyed warrior finished his meal, and clambered to his large paws. The air was growing more and more chilly with each passing day, and he wanted to take advantage of what little sun he had left. The sunniest rock - the one closest to him - was, unfortunately taken. The shy male padded past her, not expecting the familiar queen to wake. "Oh-oh, um good morning to you as well," he replied, startled. He flattened his ears to his skull in embarrassment, looking at her sheepishly.
"I-I'm sorry for waking you…" he murmured, looking at his large, cream paws in shame. The queen probably needed her rest, what with all the kittens bothering her all day. And besides, they need their queens to have sleep in order to keep the kittens healthy. I hope she doesn't hate me, he fretted.

Rowansky tipped her head and laughed softly. "Sorry? For what? I was already awake, silly!" She flashed him a toothy smile, green eyes full of life and youth. Despite spending most of her days tucked away in a dark den filled with rambunctious kittens, Rowan was proud of the fact that she had retained her own lively personality. The female pat the spot next to her and shuffled a little to the right to allow more space. "Sit here," she beckoned, "it's cold as heck out here and if I have any intelligence, then I'm pretty sure you think the same."

The ginger and white tabby was just the kind of cat he liked - the one that forgave easily and, more importantly, didn't mind his shy side. "Oh." He gave her another bashful smile, then, at her offer, glanced up in slight surprise. A queen offering to share a rock with a guy? Wouldn't that be a little… awkward, considering his size and the size of the rock? But he was cold, and he wasn't about to deny a great offer, so he padded awkwardly towards her and settled onto the warm rock. "T-thank you…" he said thankfully, ear tips growing warm.

Rowansky and Lostpath were a pretty tight fit within the confines of the minuscule sunning rock, but she held no qualms about it. The orange and white tabby stretched out on the rock, soaking in the warmth with a grateful purr. She heard his stuttering thanks, and Rowansky bobbed her head in return. "No worries! With leafbare being a butt, I wouldn't be surprised the whole clan isn't just a big pile of fur and warmth!" Rowansky poked the tabby's shoulder. "You're big. Like a mountain. Do you feel like you're falling for like forever when you fall or something?"

Lostpath couldn't help but chuckle at her words. She certainly wasn't afraid of what other thought of her. Why can't I be like that? He frowned, watching clan life from his position of the rock. Her next question didn't entirely make sense, but it made him smile. Unless being big was a bad thing. Your just worrying yourself. Stop, he instructed, turning towards the queen. "Wouldn't it, uh, take me longer to fall?" He asked, slightly confused. "Um, I mean, bigger means heavier, right? So, wouldn't I fall faster?"

Rowansky chortled at Lostpath's reluctant answer, her green eyes narrowing in mirth and her petite form quivering as her laughter overcame her for a few moments. "The art of falling, yeah? So, I guess if you fall faster 'cause you're bigger, then I'd fall for ages. Or maybe I'd fall faster than you because I'm closer to the ground," she mused, still grinning from ear to ear. She pushed herself up into a sitting position. "So, what's your name? The nursery kind of got me out of the loop, so I'm a little rusty with names, haha!"

Lostpath nodded. "Yeah...I, uh, guess your right," he nodded, one corner of his mouth creeping into a grin. He couldn't help it - she made him laugh, wether she did it on purpose or not. She's probably an incredible mother... he thought. As she began talking about names, he realized he had been staring. He looked away, ears and fur raising to what seemed like a hundred degrees. Ugh! I forgot to introduce myself! I keep getting stupider with everything I say. "Erm, right." he muttered sheepishly, clearing his throat awkwardly. "My name is, uh, Lostpath. Heh. It's almost as if they knew my eye would be poked out by that stupid badger," he murmured, remembering the fight to save his friend. "And I obviously know yours," he chuckled a little, trying to hide his nervousness.

Rowansky had almost forgotten what it felt like to share tongues with another clan mate, to get out of the nursery and have a decent laugh with someone other than her kits. Sure, she loved them more than words could describe, but to meet someone new brought such an exhilarating feeling to the tabby. Rowan lifted her green gaze and met Lostpath's, a smile stuck on her features. "What? Do I have something on my face?" she joked. When Lost looked away, Rowansky giggled and pawed at his side. "Hey, I was kidding!"
Lostpath.. she tested in her head, visualizing the feel of the syllables rolling off of her tongue. "I like it," she declared, beaming. "Mysterious, deep, attractive. I'd be at your paws if I was an apprentice, I tell ya!" The young queen dipped her head. "And you know, it doesn't matter—the eye, I mean. Doesn't define who you are. Bet it has a great story to it, too, if you really think it's had an impact on you."

Great. She noticed me staring. Either way, he couldn't help but let a bashful smile slip onto his features. No. Your face is fine - it looks beautiful. He'd never be able to say that to someone he'd just met. "Attractive?!" He looked at her in surprise. How did she have the courage to say such a thing? "I hardly doubt I'm attractive - nor is my name." He chuckled in embarrassment, shaking his head. "Your name on the other hand..." He glanced away again, pinning his ears to his skull. Gah! Stop embarrassing yourself!
Lostpath listened to her words, blinking. She is right, isn't she? "Bet it has a great story to it, too, if you really think it's had an impact on you." Was that supposed to be a compliment? He wasn't the greatest at figuring out those kind of things. "What… what are you trying to say?" He asked. "Besides, it's not that great of a story."

Rowansky giggled, feeling like she was back to being a six moon old apprentice. "Don't get your tail in a twist, Lostpath, it's just a compliment! And why wouldn't you be attractive? If I was shallow, I'd say that I'm only talking to you so you'd notice me, pretty boy," she teased lightly, jabbing at his side lightly with a raised ginger paw. Her feline eyebrows quirked, mouth falling open in a round shape. "Oh? What about my name?" She leaned closer to the tabby as if sharing a secret, her nose almost touching his ear before she pulled back, grinning.
She shrugged. "I don't know. You just look like a person that has a story to tell. You don't have to; it's just what I think, is all." Rowansky jumped to her paws, nimbly jumping from their perch on the sunning rock. "Come on, let's have a game of tag! I want to see if you're still quick on your feet. Try and catch me!" The orange-pelted queen took off to the farthest side of the camp, dodging her clanmates and grinning like a fool.

Lostpath chuckled in embarrassment. "Th-thank you," he replied, unsure of what else to say. At her question, he hesitated. He hadn't meant to finish his sentence. "Oh, um," he looked at her nervously. "I mean, your name is, uh, pretty, so.." he built up his courage. "So it matches with you," after a moment, he looked at his paws. That was the most he could do for a while.
"I can tell you if you'd like-" but she was on her feet, telling him to play tag with her. He watched her bounce around for a moment, before getting to his own feet. Just like we're kits, he thought in amusement. He tilted his head watching her. So does that mean I'm it? Great. I've never been fast, he groaned to himself. But nevertheless, he chased after her the best he could.
