Shiverpaw yawned and looked up, his long tail twitching in boredom. He'd already searched camp for mice, and found none, and since there was no patrol, well..
He started bouncing around eagerly, as there was nothing to do.

(MAORE MELTINGPAW/SHIVERWIND RPS)
Meltingpaw creeped up on the gray cat, in a perfect hunting crouch. She watched her prey carefully and pounced, landing on Shiverpaw/wind's back.

Meltingpaw's ears perked up, but she didn't look necessarily happy. "Who?" She asked, she couldn't keep the alarm out of her voice.

Meltingpaw/stone giggled a bit before mewing, "Shiverwind, your doing it again." Shiverwind never did stutter around her after their first meeting until now. She thought it was adorable, though.

Shiverwind blinked. "Sorry. When I talk real fast it happens.. And normally it a-ain't that bad. If I talk really slow sometimes it just don't- I mean doesn't happen." He lowered his head. Did she think he faked it?

Meltingpaw's heart stopped beating, and she froze. She just looked forward, eyes cloudy. She half opened her mouth but no words came out. She flattened her ears, and for the first time both of them lay flat against her head. Her legs neatly tucked under her belly, she crouched down to make herself look as small as possible. Suddenly her heart started beating rapidly, all at once. She gaped her mouth open a little once more and barely whispered, "please don't hate me."
