[Cinderlily]

"You'll be okay, the current isn't quite so strong and I'll grab you if you start to go under." Cinderpelt said, giving him an encouraging nod. "Yeah? I bet. He was an interesting tom, though I've only really spoken with him once so far. Many stories to tell."

Wingpaw nodded, glancing at the water fearfully, and pushed off of the river's floor. He felt the current dragging at his long thick fur, but as he had thought he would, he didn't float. I have to make myself float? Isn't that a lot of work? It was like walking, but not nearly as easy. He had to keep himself afloat, and it wasn't long before he was panting and moved clumsily back to where he was standing before. "Yeah, he's been everywhere!" He gasped, watching Cinderlily carefully. "How do you make it look so easy?"

[Cinderlily]

"Lots of practice mostly, I used to swim all of the time." She spoke, swimming back to the shore after she had gotten him out a decent enough distance. "You're getting it though, now swim to me."

[Widget]

Wingpaw did as he was told, struggling towards her. He swam in slow, clumsy circles around her, fighting against the current. "But it's hard!"

[Cinderlily]

"You can do it," The she-cat encouraged, keeping one of her white paws in the water in case Wingpaw began to struggle against the water too much. He was almost there though.

[Widget]

Wingpaw swam further towards her, until he was finally there. He crashed into her. "Oh! Heh, sorry," he murmured, embarrassed. "Did I really do it?"

[Cinderlily]

"Yeah! You did a great job. I sank like a stone my first time." The she-cat said with a small laugh, stumbling a bit when he rammed into her a little. "It takes a lot out of you the first few times, I know."

[Widget]

"I almost sank!" He replied with a giggle. He batted at her ears softly, excited that he had made it. "This kit named Lilykit asked me what I wanted my warrior name to be, and I hadn't know. Now I've been thinking about it, but I can't think of anything. Do you have any ideas?"

[Cinderlily]

"Hmm.." The she-cat though, batting back at the males ears playfully. "Wingflight, maybe? Wingbreak? Maybe that one sounds a little too dark." She said with a laugh, stretching to get rid of the cold from her bones.

[Widget]

He laughed. "Wing flight is good, but Wingbreak? Nah, that's pretty gross," he grinned playfully, tilting his head. "I hope I don't get a girly name! Like Wingflower or Winglily," after a moment, he added, "I mean, lily sounds pretty after cinder, but I'm a boy," he ducked his head in embarrassment.

[Cinderlily]

She laughed, flicking him with her tabby tail. "Chill, I get it. Maybe...Wingstorm? Very fearsome." She said with her own playful grin. "I think that could fit you. Wingheart..?" Cinderlily offered, man why wasn't she the leader her warrior names were the bomb.

Wingpaw laughed. "I am fearsome! Just you watch!" He let out a small growl, trying to mock a lion, but utterly failing. He had never been good at growling - or not looking cute for that matter. "Wing heart is kinda girly too. But maybe. How about...Wingspring! See, it rhymes!" Man, was he bad at thinking of names.

[Cinderlily]

"Hmmmm..Wingtail?" She said, shrugging her shoulders. Wing was a hard name to work with. "Wingwhisper could work too, but I'm not sure if that sounds too girly." She spoke, laughing at his attempt at a growl. "That's fine, I'm not exactly fearsome myself; but when you think about it that's a good thing in battle. Your enemy under-estimates your amazing abilities." Cinderlily said with a wink.

"Wingdash," he meowed. "I guess that's true. But if your big and scary, then they're frightened of you, and you can beat them easily!"

[Cinderlily]

"Hmm, that is true. I guess we have our advantages and disadvantages in life." She meowed with a shrug. "I like Wingdash. Very fitting of you, very dashing" She mused with a wink, giggling at her own pun.
