the moon will continue to shine
Moonshine dragged her paws rather sluggishly over to the medicine cats' den. For the past few days, she had been having a very persistent cough that only seemed to be getting worse and worse. She had begun to notice that a lot of cats had been going to see the medicine cats for the very same reason. This thought had been digging at her ever since more and more cats caught this mysterious cough. Could it be greencough perhaps? No of course that couldn't be the answer. If anything perhaps it was just a case of whitecough. Moonshine chose to ignore the fact that very easily whitecough could morph into greencough. Still she cleared her head of these persisting thoughts as she entered the small den. She allowed for her eyes to adjust to the darkness of the den before she called out. "Mintfrost, Littlefox? Is anyone *cough* here?" A bit of a coughing fit interrupted her, causing her already raspy throat to become even more painful. W O R D S

"Hello Moonshine, how can I help you?" Mintfrost ceased to rummage through the herbs and padded over to the she-cat. His ears flattened when he heard a few coughs come from her. This was like the 4th or 5th case he'd seen in the past few weeks. So something was going around. The medicine cat beckoned for her to sit down and he turned back to his herbs. He didn't bother to look back at her yet while he looked through a few things that could help her soothe that cough.
"So tell me, is that cough what you are here for?" He inquired without turning back. "Is it just the coughing? No fever, chills, runny nose?" Hopefully she'd only have a mild case unlike some of the other cats he had seen who seemed to have gotten the short end of the stick.
"I'd like for you to describe your current symptoms for me please, also state if you've been able to get any rest and if you've been able to eat at least a meal or two."
