Lightfall rose from her nest when the squeaking of a kitten reached her ears. It wasn't hard to spot her daughter, as most of the other kittens were asleep. She padded over, giving the smaller cat a nuzzle. "Yes, I'm certain you will. You'll be an amazing warrior," she promised, sitting beside her, looking up at the stars. "But why are you awake? Even great warriors need to sleep."

I guess you are right. The kit's eyes were already drooping as she curled up against her mother's warm fur. Quietly mewing before falling asleep "Tomorrow, I will show everyone how great I am." Then, she dozed off, her breathing short and steady.

Lightfall smiled, looking down at the tortoiseshell. She curled around her kitten, licking her head. "And everyone will see what a good warrior you'll be," she promised.

The next morning, Willowkit pressed her eyes under her tail, shifting as the other kits got up. *I need to get up so I can train to be an apprentice* Willowkit told herself. Groggily forcing her eyes open, she looked up at Lightfall. "Good Morning" Willowkit heard herself mew, as she was still quite tired, as she pushed herself up. "What are we doing today?"

Lightfall blinked groggily, feeling Willowkit move beside her. She yawned, eyes still have closed as she struggled to fully wake. "Mm. I don't know. Anything is alright."

"How much longer until I become an apprentice, this den is getting big," Willowkit mewed, but stopped herself from whining. "Is there anything special I can do to boost my chances?" Willowkit mewed, fixing her speech.

"Big? I'd think it would get smaller! Unless, of course, your the one getting smaller," she teased lightly, nuzzling her kitten affectionately. "Hmm. Just eat enough so that you can grow, and make sure to get enough sleep. That's all the advice I have, though I have seen some of the other kittens preparing for training."

Willowkit stretched, yawning as her small claws stretched out and back in. She flicked her tail and looked around the nursery. "What is it like being a warrior?" Willowkit mewed curious for her future. "Is hunting fun? Does fighting off other Clans hurt? Do the other Clans come onto our territory much?" Willowkit rambled, questions spilling out of her like rain.
