For the first time in what felt like forever Fadingpaw finally had some moss that didn't hold a stench. The she-cat had some issues with getting rid of the scent when she still resided in the nursery, but her time in that den was over. Now it was time for her to begin her stay with the apprentices. Sliding her awkwardly slender body in she searched the empty areas for a place to begin spreading out the moss.
SO FAR she had only befriended one apprentice by the name of Sootpaw, but she hoped to at least make acquaintance of another. Even just being in the nursery the grey apprentice knew being alone wasn't something to live by. So she stepped awkwardly through the nests, placing each paw carefully trying not to disturb any of them when she heard a voice call out from behind her. Both making her stop in her tracks and drop the moss she had pinned under her chin. "Mouse-dung!" She hissed, turning her head over her shoulder to see who the cat was while she collected the fallen moss with her free forepaw.
((I put small effort into this sorry ._.

king. Ryepaw was just walking back into the den from training when he noticed the she-cat trying to find a place to sleep. He was about to suggest a spot when she brushed by his nest, knocking a piece of the moss from his nest. It was one thing to accidentally hit someone else's nest.
To hit his was almost unforgivable.
"Hey!" he exclaimed almost angrily, stomping over to his nest. He picked up the moss, glaring at it on his paw.

Oh Cloudclan help me. Fading's ears laid back flat against her head, her tail immediately curving until it was between her legs and she turned to face the angry tom. "Uh- er- I'm sorry-" The new apprenticed squeaked, her tongue almost caught in her throat. She was a she-cat she was supposed to be agile but her still somewhat too large paws were clumsy yet. "Here." Tossing a wad of moss his way to fix his nest she gathered her own back up and continued looking. So much for making friends... she thought to herself, already exhausted of the mind. This was no time to make enemies.. especially over messing up a nest. They would never let that go. Messing up someone's nest was just as bad as disobeying the codes of the camp. Fadingpaw couldn't blame him for being flustered.

king. Ryepaw snorted, snatching up the moss from the ground. The golden cat turned around, concentrating on making his nest comfortable again. Some cats. I swear, who raises these kits to be so clumsy? I should talk to Applefall about that. He sat in his nest for a few heartbeats before deeming it comfortable. He turned back to the cat, his rage subsiding.
"Sorry." he muttered, looking back away from her.

((My profile picture gif thing literally makes me so happy
There was a small area open a few rabbit leaps away from this tom's nesting space of which she took up for herself. Fadingpaw wasn't exactly a large apprentice and she'd make herself fit. The tom muttered a sorry, still making his nest with his back turned towards her. Rude. But I'll take it. Shrugging she replied without looking at him as he had done, she didn't want her eyes to be burning into his back and igniting anymore annoyance. "It's my fault... I should've been more careful... but thanks." Pulling a stray torn out of the bedding she side-glanced quickly at him. He wasn't much bigger than her, but definitely had wider shoulders as a trait of a tom. Fading herself was a slender she-cat... awkwardly slender. Her long legs always getting in the way but these long legs were an advantage when it came to running. "I'm Fadingpaw by the way, if you'd like to file a complaint." She mewed once more with a hint of humor in her voice.

king. Ryepaw glanced behind him at her joke. He didn't find it humorous, considering she had almost ruined his nest. The golden tom just grunted, looking back at his nest. "Ryepaw." The tom stood, walking out of it. He sighed. There. It's good. The apprentice glanced behind him again at the she-cat.

Ryepaw. Well at least she got his name, although he didn't seem all that ecstatic about sharing it. Sighing she went to finishing the nest up as the tom started out of the nursery. To her surprise he stopped and glanced at her. Maybe he doesn't hate me yet. Somewhat snorting she leaped that signature Treeclan leap over the remaining nests and landed swiftly in an open patch close to the exit. Looking up at Ryepaw she flashed him a warm smile before saying, "Well Ryepaw is there anyway I can make up the nest to you?" She kept her voice steady and kept her warm smile on, gold-amber eyes still blazing with an intensity that never seemed to fade. Even in the darkest times they were a light in that darkness. Pulling herself up next to him she added, "Maybe I can... bring you a mouse... maybe a sparrow... I don't know what food you like-" She trailed off, her gaze wondering to the pile of deceased rodents towards the heart of the camp.

king. Ryepaw just shook his head. "I'm fine, thanks." he meowed, his voice holding a slightly monotone sound to it. "It's fixed. Nothing else is wrong."

No. She didn't feel like taking this. Fading's tail flicked behind her, her teeth beginning to show and adrenaline flowed. The disturbed dark part of her beginning to crawl out. Almost in a growl she replied, "If you're so concerned about me messing up your petty little nest why don't you stand guard over it like a queen over her kits. You know, unless you have other cats you would prefer to go complain to about me messing up your precious bedding."
Her grey ears laid back on her head, her claws itching to unsheathe. Something inside her welled up, swirling about in her stomach while her nostrils flared and her neck fur spiked. Fadingpaw couldn't explain what was coming over her, but a sick thought sparked inside her head. That she liked it.

king. Ryepaw narrowed his eyes at her. "Oh, you're one of those cats. Wow, jump to conclusions why don't ya." he said, his voice oozing sarcasm. "I don't think I ever said I was going to complain about you. I don't know if you noticed, but I don't exactly complain about cats once the problem is fixed."

Well this was going... well.
The she-cat flicked her tail viciously behind her, gritting her teeth until she finally got ahold of herself. Although she didn't apologize. Didn't exactly feel up to it. Instead she brushed coldly past him, letting her neck fur lay and her claws sheathe once again. Fadingpaw let it all go to her head once again, it filtered there, somewhere.
So to cool down the apprentice decided to you the best of her newfound energy and launched herself swiftly up a tree. Swiftness and dodging was there thing rather than fighting. Fighting never had been her strong point, being both physically and verbally. Hunting on the other hand, was where she excelled. It was the who theory of adrenaline, the rush, taking something's life. Feeling larger.
She stopped at the highest branch and looked down at the camp, then to the tom who she had been talking to. Never had someone looked at her in such a way. Frankly... she didn't even know what to feel.

king. Ryepaw gave a snort as she ran away to a tree. He stared back at her, his eyes narrowed. Running away from your problem. Maybe this cat is different than how I thought she was.

Run. Run. Run.
Never a good fighter sadly. She wasn't good at being aggressive to others, but she didn't like being shown aggression. So she ran, even though she ceased to escape his flaming stares of death. The she-cat looked away and down at the other warriors, her paw hanging limply over the branch as she rearranged her head to rest her chin on the icy bark.
Life wasn't easy enough. Never was. Sighing she unsheathed her claws and swung them slowly through the air, feeling the cold breeze seep into the sockets. Ryepaw wasn't her first rodeo, and she feared the tom wouldn't be her last. All she could think about was a tearing between acceptance and getting rid of those who didn't accept her, which was morally not the way to go considering she loved her spot in the clan and respected the code.
Oh Ryepaw must you make it so hard.
