So Kira is going to try and write. Not sure how it's going to turn out buuuut.... I'm going to try my best. Critique shall always be welcome! Just don't just leave a message like: "This story is dumb."
Prologue
The void was expansive and empty. The darkness was both cold and comforting at the same time. It seemed to go on forever, never ending. A constant, something that will always be there. Even when there's no one to remember.... It'll be there.
Now the void was stubborn, it was above the petty laws of physics. So, a small island lay floating. A shimmering, white furred nine-tailed kitsune (fox) stood upon it. Her amber eyes scanning the vast darkness. Often, she wondered where it came from. She didn't know and that was saying an awful lot. She wasn't gloating when she said to people that she knew pretty much everything aside from people's deepest secrets.
Staring into the darkness, the female kitsune sighed. Sometimes she felt like there was something there in the void, watching her. That had to be impossible, right? The void was only where everything came from. It was from before creation. Of course there wasn't anything living in it. There just couldn't be. No possible way.
Though, she wasn't exactly here for answers to unanswerable questions. She was here to contemplate things. To no one in particular, she began speaking.
"Akki is going to give birth.... I'm going to be an aunt again. I just hope things come out better than last time. Last time.... They were more mortal than we thought and they all died." She took a deep breath. "This one is going to be 100% god, he'll have pure holy blood. He'll be the heir to my family head position. But.... What if he comes out like...." She shuddered. She didn't even dare utter the name of her predecessor, Saru. Her father. A sadistic tyrant. Looking out into the void she hung her head low. "I don't know what I'll do if the kid kills me.... And brings pain to my family again. I know better than anyone the leader of my family dictates the fate of every living thing we know. Will he bring back the Law of the Wild? Kill or be killed? Ruthlessness is the only way to live? If you not homicidal, you're a worthless worm?" She stared straight up.
"All I can do is pray, to whoever might somehow be above me.... The Queen Goddess.... That things will turn out okay."

Chapter 1 :: Heir to the Throne
There fire crackled, spreading its warm light across the room, its warmth reaching the small fox cub on the bed. The fox cub was a dark grey in color, with icy blue markings on the left side of his face. His three tails wrapped around him. His icy blue eyes glared at the fire.
"I wish my family's hearts were warm like this fire...." He muttered.
He'd just been taken to his room after he'd found something he shouldn't have found. He'd never be able to look at his family the same way ever again.
- Flash Back to two hours ago -
The small little fox cub was playing with his bouncy ball. He loved the way it bounced all over, occassionaly smashing things yes, but it was still fun. Then the ball bounced out of his play room.
"Wait for me!" He ran after the ball. It had bounced in the main entrance room of the mansion he lived in. You see, this little cub belonged to a family rich in many ways. He lived in a somewhat clean mansion, filled to brim of everything anyone could ever ask for. There wasn't a thing he didn't have, that he ever wanted. At least, of material objects.
The ball bounced down the stairs, bouncing all the way down to the bottom. The cub raced down stairs, giggling all the way for his joy to end abruptly.
A large white majestic looking eight-tailed fox was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. His clear blue eyes were beautiful. His plush fur, soft enough to be worthy of cuddles. Her name was Lacy. There was one reason why this beautiful girl brought the cub's joy to an end. She was lying on her side on the ground, dead. An icicle impaled through her eye, large claws marks marring her body. Her soft fur sticky and wet from fresh blood.
Yet more terrifying, was the fox standing above her. A wide, unpleasant smirk on his face. His fangs dripping with blood, his paws covered in Lacy's blood. He had a few wounds as well, however it was no where as horrible as the ones on Lacy. He had icy blue fur, stained with blood. He had white swirly markings on his face, paws, and tail tips. Once more, he had eight tails.
'Eight tails?!' The fox cub thought frantically. 'Only Nobles have that many! And he isn't a Noble!' Knowing this, he could figure out that this fox killed Lacy and took her Noble position.
The cub screamed.
- Flashback End -
The cub shivered. His aunt Kira and his mother had come quickly. Instead of comforting him and doing something against that monster, they had simply scolded him. He remembered his aunt's words clearly.
"Seriously Nirik? You couldn't wait until I had less paperwork?! Ugh, fine. Just clean her up and dispose of the body."
His aunt Kira had explained that they had different opinions about death... That a lot of things were different since Fonsy, the God of Death died..... But the cub just couldn't believe all of this. This was horrible. He wasn't sure he wanted lead a family full of psycho murderers. Though there was one light in the darkness.....
"Listen.... When you're the head of this family.... You can change things. I changed things when I ascended. I hope you can fix us.... I'm sorry I can't. I'm already broken, but I'm sure you aren't yet."
The cub promised himself he would change things when he was older. Then making a vow, he whispered to himself.
"My name is Frazu Kuraga.... And I will fix this family!"

This sounds really good already! Keep it up! I would like to know a liiittle bit more about how this world works, but I'm sure that will be apparent in the second chapter if you have one.
Great job!

Thank you! The world has a lot of interesting things that I'm actually still working on!
And yes, the next chapter will have more things in it about the world and its people.

Chapter 2 :: A History Lesson
Frazu was now older. He had grown another tail. He was now a four-tails..... 'According the humans down on Earth.... I'm 17 years old....' He thought. He walked through Libara forest. It was part of the dimension that all the Holy Families shared... Even the lesser families. Frazu sighed. He never understood why there had to be a hierarchy.... Where the only way to raise yourself was to murder someone of higher position. He looked over his shoulder, his guards, Carmine and Scarlet were trying to be sneaky to follow him. No doubt to protect from any assassination attempts. Although he was the heir and any of his relatives who would try to kill him to gain power. As he walked, he recalled one of his aunt's history lessons. Of all things.... He figured those were the most useful.
- Flashback Start -
Kira sat across from Frazu. However, they weren't foxes at the present time. Frazu was a teenage boy with icy blue eyes and messy, short, dark grey hair. His hair had icy blue flame-like patterns at the ends, creeping towards the rest of his head. Across from the child, sat a woman. She had moderately long, wavy, ginger hair that went down to her shoulders. Her amber eyes were both warm and tired at the same time. Frazu often wondered how his aunt could smile, yet have that same tired look in her eyes.
"Alright Frazu.... So I know you want to know why we're like this?" She asked. Frazu nodded. 'Like this' meant their opinion on murder. Their opinion being it was a normal, everyday occurrence. It was treated with the saying of 'No use crying over spilled milk.' To Frazu.... Anyone's life was not simply spilled milk.
Kira sighed. "Alright. Let me start at the beginning." She took a deep breath.
"No one's entirely sure of our true beginning.... But we do know how the Kuraga came to be. There were the two original kitsune. Maru and Sakura. Maru was a wise but strict leader. They say his fur was black as night.... His eyes as golden as the sun. His mate, was ever so very different. Sakura was kind... Forgiving. A fox with fur as pure as now.... With brilliant emerald green eyes. Anyways, these two kitsune were the first Kuraga. Soon after.... Many kitsune popped out from.... Somewhere." She shrugged, as Frazu stared. "What? No one knows. Anyways... Continuing on.... Maru and Sakura had three children. Saru, Charles, and Kai. Saru was the eldest and the most ambitious. And he was...." She closed her eyes. "My father." Frazu's eyes widened. "As my father, Saru, grew up... He grew ambitious. At the time.... All of Maru's family was capable of nine-tails. So when Saru gained his ninth tail ahead of his brothers...." She opened her eyes and stared piercingly into Frazu's eyes. "He slew his parents. He took up the throne. He changed things. He became the sole dictator of our family. He made only one rule."
Kira paused. Frazu looked on nervously. "Do I want to know?" He asked quietly.
".... No." She responded quietly. "And yet you must. It was kill or be killed. Kuraga were ranked on brutality. Many died as they tried to gain my father's favor. The strongest in that group was my mother.... Rika. They became mates. Then they had me and my siblings. I was the eldest.... I was.... Kind of like you Frazu. I wanted to change things, ever so desperately. Too much unnecessary bloodshed.... Too many of my family dying by the claws of their brothers, sisters, parents, cousins.... Anyone. So I became an eight-tails by utilizing the brutality that every other Kuraga embraced. I hated it." She looked down. Frazu shifted uncomfortably. 'I never knew any of this before.... This is just.... Horrible.'
"I was forced to do it. I slew my mother and father.... I ended their tyrannical rule. Many of the Kuraga who thrived under his rule of cruelty still retained habits. Plus.... We actually have a magical disease that makes it easy for any of us to snap.... Which just triggers chain reactions. So in short.... That's why we're all psychotic, homicidal, and broken." She finished.
"Please.... When you fix this family.... Do it right."
- Flashback End -
Since then.... Frazu had grown. He had a girlfriend.... Ypher Taota, from the family of dragons. Formerly a proud warrior family. Now reduced to lazy, uncaring reptiles. At this point.... He stopped caring as well.
'What can I do? It's obvious this cycle has gone on for such a long time. I'm one guy. There's no hope.'
Frazu had lost his faith, though he wasn't sure he could find it again. Everyone, even Kira, agreed with him.
Aside from his girlfriend. She was determined to help him recover his faith. Which is why they were meeting in the forest.
