Maplefrost, in lieu of Dustpetal, had been sent to do the Clan's ceremonies that morning. There were lots of cats in need of a promotion. The blind calico padded out of his den, scrambled unsteadily onto the announcement perch, and yowled to get the camp's attention. Then he sat down and waited for cats to gather before continuing.


"IceClan! A newcomer has joined our ranks. Shatteredsoul, from now on, you are one of us. I name you Shatteredsoul. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" (oh yes maplefrost of course i do) "Then I commend you to CloudClan, to become a warrior."

"@twitch, you have trained hard. It is time for you to become a warrior. I name you Palewing. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" (ye maplefrost) "Then I commend you to CloudClan, to become a warrior."

"@longjcoon, for reasons unknown, your former mentor can no longer teach you. Meltingstone shall resume your training."

"Thunderhowl, for reasons unknown, your former mentor can no longer teach you. Cinderlily shall resume your training."

"Silverpaw, from now on you will be known as Silverpaw.
Twilightmist, you can take an apprentice and shall mentor her."

"Mudpaw, from now on you will be known as Mudpaw.
Mudslide, you can take an apprentice and shall mentor him."

"Lightheart, from now on you will be known as Lightpaw.
Spottedheart, you can take an apprentice and shall mentor him."

"@bellbell04, from now on you will be known as Dawnpaw.
Horizonshadow, you can take an apprentice and shall mentor her."

"Willowfall, from now on you will be known as Willowpaw.
Shiverwind, you can take an apprentice and shall mentor her."

Despite my age, I can take an apprentice and shall mentor him."

Sighing a little wearily, Maplefrost slipped down to the ground and waited for Spiderpaw to approach him. He hoped the youngster wouldn't be upset that his mentor was retired. Some cats would certainly hate it.

nothing burns like cold ❤ How ironic it was that the one who had pushed Quillfoot to get an apprentice was the one who ended up giving it to him. Quillfoot smiled up at Maplefrost, noticing his half-brother's tire and feeling a stab of remorse. The elder shouldn't have had to do the ceremonies, or take on an apprentice. Searching around for his apprentice, Melodypaw, he spotted the light she-cat and lingered uncertainly. He was worried, about his ability and his appearance. What would she think of his body, half naked and covered in burn scars? More importantly, what would she think of his teaching. Swallowing his doubts, the young tom walked over to Melodypaw and attempted a smile. "Hello there." Embers ★

'Finally!' Dawnpaw thought happily. She looked at her sister, then looked around for horizonshadow. She padded toward willowpaw and mewed, "Can't wait to meet the other apprentices, eh?"

[Mudslide]

Mudslide looked at her best friend Shattered as he'd been deemed Shatteredsoul. How nice of him to become part of the clan with their new names. She smiled at the tabby tom and knew he'd be alright while she listened to the rest. The ceremony naming of Mudkit caught her attention. She was mentoring Mudkit? Mudslide and Mudpaw.. quite the dynamic duo it seems.

"Well Mudpaw, I hope you'll enjoy training with me." She purred, nosing his forehead.

    Meltingstone? The apprentice looked around for the warrior, never hearing Meltingstone before.
(Short, today's a sick and early day ^^')

[Spottedheart]

Spottedheart held his head high and padded over to his new apprentice, Lightpaw.
Bending his head down he touched his nose to his new apprentice's forehead.
"I'll make you into a great warrior." He promised. It seemed like he had waited so long for an apprentice.
Now there was no anxiety, only an eagerness to make the apprentice the best warrior IceClan had ever seen.

The warrior approached his apprentice, the tall male looked down at her his blue eyes staring straight at her as she talked to another friend of hers. He wore a gentle smile and nodded his head toward her. "I'm Horizonshadow, it is nice to meet you Dawnpaw. Training will begin tomorrow bright and early. I will awake you, for now go settle in." he purred out.

"Yes Maplefrost." A few excited giggles slipped into her meow, and she padded to the side to make room for the new apprentices. I can't believe it! I wonder if my friends are watching. She purred, listening to the clans's chanting, and joined in. "Freezepaw! Melodypaw! Spiderpaw! Willowpaw! Dawnpaw! Lightpaw! Mudpaw! Silverpaw!" What a mouthful. I wonder if Rabbitleap's proud. There's vigil tonight. Hopefully I don't fall asleep!

[Lightheart]

Lightpaw’s chest tingled with pride as he heard his new name called, his leaf-hued eyes gleaming with excitement as he realized he was finally an apprentice. The pale golden tabby held own his eagerness as Spottedheart’s nose brushed against his forehead, hanging onto the words the older tom had to say. “I can't wait,” he mumbled lightly with a toothy smile.

[Rivershade]

She smiled warmly to hear hear name called out as she stepped forward to touch noses with the small bundle before her formally known as Freezepaw , She lowered her silvery and black marked cranium to murmurer her encouragements to the young cat "You will make a great warrior, We start Training at Dawn" . With that she stepped away allowing the young cat to have praise from the rest of her clan mates. RiverShade made her way twordes the other mentors to discuss training methods and joint training's.

Freezekit looked up to see her mentor padding towards her. "Thanks!" she mewed after Rivershade's encouragement. After her mentor had padded away, she called out for the other cats. "Palewing! Silverpaw! Mudpaw! Lightpaw! Dawnpaw! Willowpaw! Spiderpaw! Melodypaw!"

I padded out to the clearing when the Clan meeting was called by a Clan leader that I believed was named Maplefrost.  From the way she acted, she appeared to be blind, but I still respected her nonetheless.  I cheered for the other newly named apprentices, and felt a rush of excitement that I could finally begin my training.  I looked around for my new mentor, Quillfoot, and finally found him padding up to her from behind.  I held back a shocked gasp at the cat's appearance, for he looked scratched and burned.  However, it also made him look fierce, and I knew he would make a great mentor for me.  With a respectful dip of my head, I said, "Hello.  You must be Quillfoot, is that right?" I asked, though I was pretty sure that it was him, for I'd seen him around camp before.
