It's so sunny today! The brindled tom thought in awe, his paws carrying him out into the spacious clearing. The sun's rays beat down on his fur, and the passing mountain air cooled him down. His face lit like lanterns, hazel depths drinking in the beautiful sight. Giggling, Rosekit bounded around, pouncing on moving objects—tails, paws, and stray pieces of leaves and tumbling rocks—as he went. "Food sounds terrific right now! But.." Rose snuck a fleeting glance at a particularly sunny spot close to him. "The weather is making want to take a nap." The tom's nose scrunched up, torn between his two most favorite activities. Do I eat first or do I sleep first? He sat down with a huff, pouting, "This is hard! Which one do I pick?" His whines were heavily accented with dramatic despair, and Rosekit rubbed his nose with a paw habitually.

The tabby tom stumbled to his paws, eyes bleary with sleep. He was never very agile when sleepy - more of a clumsy lump of messy fur. At that thought, Quailkit turned to give himself a quick grooming, not caring if his fur looked rumpled as he tottered into a clearing. "Which one do I pick?" The young male glanced over towards the kit that had been speaking to himself. "Hm," he said, a helpful smile on his face. "Well, I'm hungry!
