That Dark Corner (Open)

[Duskrise]

Duskkit was hiding in a dark corner of the nursery. His dark fur blended in nicely as he waited. He was waiting for some cat, kit or queen to come by so he could surprise them by pouncing on them. He'd been waiting since he had woken up at an unholy hour in the morning. However... His patience was dwindling. 'Aw, c'mon! How long will it take for some cat to pass by?!'

Silverkit muttered under his breath and shook his head. he was particularly cross, for the day had not gone as he hoped it would have. No one wanted to play today. It was as if the whole clan was sleeping. Of course, they were not but it seemed as if they were to Silverkit. Then, he hadn't gotten his favorite piece of prey for lunch because he hadn't gotten over there fast enough and some apprentice took the piece he wanted. 

Not it was late afternoon and the beginnings of the heat was starting to make Silverkit too hot. He huffed as he walked back into the shade of the nursery. He heard some scuffs or something ahead of him but let the slide as he glided through the nursery to search for something to do. 

[Duskrise]

Duskkit grinned as he spotted a kit walk along into the nursery, close to where he hiding. He braced himself to pounce. 'This'll be great! Gonna pounce in one... two... three!' He leaped forward in a sloppy lunge. He realized too late he was more or less tackling his target. 'Oh no! I'm gonna crash! This was a horrible, horrible idea!' He slightly panicked internally. 'At least I'm not bored.'

[Dawnbreeze]

Dawnkit skipped into the nursery to see Duskit in the corner. Hes gonna miss hes not aiming correctly. She darts foward as he pounces and knocks him into the nearest bed.

Silverkit hissed as other car barreled into him. Silverkit rolled on his side and let the cat fall into him, thinking if he pushed against the cat, that could do more damage. After the fall, Silverkit pushed out from underneath the other cat and dusted himself off furiously. Who did this cat think he was, crashing around and jumping out of shadows. 

"What exactly was your goal there?" Silverkit snapped. "That was almost pointless." Silverkit was afraid Duskkit had messed with him on the wrong day. Already angry, Silverkit had just gotten slammed into by another cat. Thank you very much, Silverkit thought crossly sitting and licking himself clean.

Just then Waterpaw walked into the nursery to replace bedding. She was about to ask if anyone needed new bedding when she saw Dawnkit and Silverkit. "Hi." she said walking over to them. "What are you guys up to?" she asked.

[Duskrise]

Duskkit crashed into Silverkit, then was immediately knocked off him by another kit into a nest. "Aaahhh- Oof!" He grumbled. He stood up and shook himself out. He turned his gaze back to Silverkit... Along with the two other cats that had just come in. He padded up to Silverkit and gave him a grin. "The purpose? To cure my boredom. Really was bored, you know." He decided to disregard the others for now... He'd deal with them in a little while.

Waterpaw sighed. "Well do you guys need more bedding?" She asked.

[Duskrise]

Duskkit looked to the side to acknowledge the apprentice. 'Bedding?' He wondered. He looked over at the nests. They all had bedding... It didn't look weird... Was actually bedding... Was comfortable enough.... He looked back at Waterpaw and shook his head. "No, I don't believe so."

She nodded. "Ok." She said.

[Dawnbreeze]

Dawkit hissed alittle at Silverkit." I was just trying to help." Dawnkit stalks of and goes into the dark corner.

[Duskrise]

Duskkit turned his gaze to Silverkit and pouted. "Aw, look what you've done. Happy, you big meanie?" He whined. "Maybe you like being an anti-social prick?" He suggested.

Silverkit smiled while looking away. This had not gone exactly as planned but he learned quickly to play the cards dealt to him. "Well glad I could cure your boredom Dauskkit," he meowed winking at the other tom. Silverkit turned to Waterkit and offered a smile "Thanks for the offer in bedding but I just got mine replaced." Finally he looked to Dawnkit. "Relax," he smiled largely. "Totally had no idea this collision was so...extravagant." 

Silverkit laughed happiliy. Looked like the day was turning up for the better.

Dawnkit turned around and looks at Silverkit. "Your pretty mature for a kit?" She guessed.This day had been terrible lately things still weren't going well.

Silverkit shrugged. "Eh," He smiled. "I guess. I mean thanks?" Not really knowing how to respind he just laughed. This day truly was turning out for the better. So now there were two apprentices and a two kits standing around. Silverkit settled into a sitting position and curled his tail around his paw. "Want to do something?" He asked.
