This is mainly for the elders but if anyone wants to help clean the den its fine by me
Dawnpaw padded into the elders den, moss in her jaws. She nodded a greeting to the elders and mewed, "You need the den cleaned out?"

Waterpaw smiled as she entered the den to see that someone else had thought to change out the bedding. "Hi Dawnpaw." she said somehow recognizing the apprentice that she had never met. She slowly started removing old bedding and changing it out with the new bedding that she had collected.

Maplefrost woke abruptly from his nap when he heard movement in the den. It wasn't Windflurry - she'd gone out for a stroll, he was fairly sure. A brief sniff of the air told the blind calico that the visitors were two youngsters.
"Cleaning? I guess so," he half-grumbled as he sat up. The bedding had been getting a little stale. Maple stepped reluctantly out of his nest and plopped down a few tail-lengths away, hoping that the pair would hurry up so he could go back to sleep soon.

Dawnpaw nodded to waterpaw and then to maplefrost, "Yep, cleaning," she mewed as she started to take the old moss out and put the new moss in. She glanced a look at maplefrost. He looks tired, better hurry up. She thought as she started to go a little faster.

Waterpaw helped Dawnpaw making sure that she didn't get in the way and make the job take longer. Soon there was no more work that she could do without getting in the way of Dawnpaw. She sat back and waited for another nest to clean for another elder.

"Make sure you get Windflurry's nest. I'm sure she'll appreciate having fresh moss when she gets back from her walk," meowed the blind cat with a twitch of his ears. There were only two nests in the den, which made cleaning a fairly easy task. But it was also a little lonely ever since Redstorm's death. Perhaps one of the senior warriors would retire soon? He wouldn't mind having a new companion around here.

When dawnpaw finished, she padded over to windflurry's nest. "Don't think I would forget, since there are only two nests," she mewed as she started changing out windflurry's moss.

Waterpaw nodded. Dawn paw would need more moss to complete the second nest. She walked out of camp and quickly collected more before going back to the elders den to deliver the new moss.

MAPLEFROST OF ICECLAN Maplefrost resorted to his favorite hobby - imitating a rock - as he waited for the apprentices to finish up. He figured he was rather good at it by now. The Maine Coon's current record was remaining almost completely motionless from sun-high until dusk. A few cats probably assumed he was dead that day.
Some might say it was boring. As for him? He'd claim that it was an art. WORDS: 068 || WRITTEN FOR: Dawnpaw & Waterpaw NOTES - Apologies for the delay. template by Margie @ Adoxography v2
