Rosekit ran after Quailkit. He pounced at the retreating insect, missing and falling to the ground. "Huh? I am a boy, but I guess I'm a boy that can be like anyone because I have a girly name, haha! Rawr, fear me!"

"Hey! I can be like anyone too!" He laughed. Quailkit jumped into the air, aiming for the butterfly, but fell back to the ground with a grunt. "See? I'm like you!"

The diluted tortoiseshell giggled. "We can be anyone together!" By now, he had lost all thought of capturing the butterfly. "But yeah, I am a boy. Mama just thought I looked like a flower, I guess."

"Am I a pretty flower?" he mused, green eyes on Quailkit. "Hm? My mama's Wolfmist. She's really pretty." Thinking about it, he added, "Maybe I'm a pretty flower because mama's a pretty flower, too, but prettier!"

"All flowers are pretty, silly!" He laughed in response, lifting a paw to poke Rosekit on the nose. "My mama is. Cinderlily and my daddy is Wingstep, but they don't look like flowers," he frowned. "Does your mama look like a flower?"

"Haha, oops! I knew that," he amended with a giggle. "Mm, I don't know. My mama doesn't look exactly like a flower, but to me, she's the prettiest flower in the whole forest! She may not look like it, but I know she is." Rosekit twisted around to face Quailkit. "Do you wanna do something else?"

Quail nodded. "She sounds pretty!" He glanced over his shoulder, a bright yellow flower catching his eye. He walked towards it, batting at it. "Hey look, Flower!" He purred, granted Rosekit a new nickname. "Yeah, sure, like what?"

Rosekit toddled after Quailkit, taking a peek at the yellow flower from over the tom's shoulder, grinning a little at Quail's sudden interest in calling him a flower. "It's so bright! Do you think it came from the sun? 'Cause it's yellow, and the sun is yellow, so maybe a drop of the sun fell down and made this flower; I don't know, but that would be pretty cool." In the middle of his rambling, the messy-coated kitten hummed. ".. I actually didn't think that far ahead, oops! Oh, oh! What if we collected all of the flowers we see, and we can put it in each other's fur. Then we could be flowers together, too!"
