SweetpawDustpaw was laid on on his back, paws against his chest and tail curled strangely behind him. He let out a purr as he basked in the sunlight, feeling relaxed and safe. The silver tabby sighed, remembering his training session with Snowblossom earlier. His muscles were exhausted, but it didn't matter. He would go through it all over again to get stronger. In his rest, he didn't notice someone walking up from his blind spot.

Sweetpaw yawned as she stumbled out of the apprentices den, her fluffy pelt ruffled from her short nap. After her amber eyes adjusted to the searing outside light she spotted another tabby not far off, basking in the light. A small, diabolical smirk etched its way onto her face as she began to sneak up on the tom as he were a piece of prey. I don’t think he see’s me, she thought giddily as she got dangerously close to the silver tabby. Once Sweetpaw was just under a tail-length away she bounced forward, “‘ello, love~!” the tabby purred loudly, mimicking the voice of a kittypet she used to know.

Dustpaw jumped at the sudden voice, drawing him from his thoughts. Turning his head directly at his stalker, the silver tabby grinned. "You scared me." he meowed, rolling over on his belly and blinking playful golden eyes. "Or, I mean, you startled me. I don't get scared easily."
After a moment, his eyes widened. Wasn't this cat Fadingnight's apprentice? "Hey, weren't you at the ceremony? Being my sister's apprentice? Sorry I don't remember your name, but I'm Dustpaw."

Sweetpaw raised her head proudly at being recognized, her short tail wagging in an almost dog-like fashion, “Well, if you’re Fadingnight’s little bro then, yeah, I would be the infamous Sweetpaw she has taken under her wing,” the she-cat spoke in a drawling tone, her amber eyes glittering with a playful heir. “Oh, and pretty flash name you got there by the way,” she added with a grin.

Dustpaw snickered. He liked the way she talked. "Thanks, your names pretty cool, too." he purred, standing up and shaking out his silver fur. She didn't really seem like any of the other apprentices, but he didn't comment on such a thing. No reason to judge someone so soon. Or, well, at all, really. "Has Fadingnight shown you around yet?"

“Yup; though I think we scarred off half the prey in the forest,” she said with a chuckle, “credit to your sis for taking on three apprentices though, I don’t think I’d ever be able to manage something like that,” though they might not be very rowdy, Sweetpaw knew her and the two other apprentices she was training alongside were all very curious and exited on their first day of training— and maybe a little too much for their mentor to handle. Though she did seem pretty chill, the tabby contemplated, deciding not to dwell to long on subject.

Dustpaw nodded, "Yeah, it's insane. But Fadingnight is amazing. She'll do a good job."

Sweetpaw nodded, then blinked, tipping her head curiously to the side, “Who’s you mentor by the way? I don’t think I ever got around to asking you that,” the brown-and-cream tabby questioned, her short bobtail flicking expectantly as she awaited an answer. I wonder how his training’s coming along— heck, I wonder how long he’s been training? she asked herself mentally, letting her thoughts drift. The fact that she became an apprentice while being nearly warrior age had really messed with her poor little brain. She knew apprentices that were younger than her, yet were boasting about having their final assessments for pete’s sake. It made her head spin just thinking about it.

Dustpaw flicked his tail at a white she-cat across the clearing. One of the newer warriors compared to the rest, yet not young as in inexperienced. "Snowblossom. She got her warrior name in the same ceremony as me. She's pretty cool at hunting, but she's got a thing against battling... she still teaches me, of course. And she's really good at the moves, too. But yeah, dunno what else to say." The tom gave Snowblossom a smile before turning back to Sweetpaw.

((Congrat's on Warriorhood! On the other hand, sorry I replied so late.. hehe…)) “Snowblossom? Haven’t met her yet,” Sweetpaw muttered, eyeing the white she-cat curiously, “but if you say she’s rad then I’ll take your word for it,” she decided with a nod. Thing against battling? That’s a little weird… maybe? Eh, not like it matters. Well unless we get in a fight, it might matter then, but there’s like a bazillion other cats here and others thing you can do rather than fight— wait. I was having a conversation. Better get back to that, Sweetpaw thought, lashing her tiny tail as she phased back into reality, hoping she hadn’t missed much. “Hey, so, um, like if you were just saying anything I was totally listening,” she covered with a sheepish smile. She really doubted he had been talking but whatever. At least you played it off smooth, girl, that’s what counts.

((Thanks. Though I'm still gonna assume this is before his ceremony.))
Dustwyvern tilted his head. He hadn't said a thing after she got a distant look in her eyes. Maybe just common sense said not to bother her, or maybe just not wanting to seem rude, but when she had snapped back she acted as she had been listening. Though, like he said before, he hadn't said a thing.
"Um... yeah, okay." He realized she must have just been thinking. There wasn't anything wrong with that. He smiled again. "So... Hmm... what do you want your warrior name to be?"
