“Well, I mainly just try to keep her off her paws— or climbing trees. Although I absolutely loathe having to go down to the river constantly, right now it seems the best place for her train since it doesn’t involve a lot of running. Once she gets the ‘all clear’ from the medicine cat’s I’ll get more strict with hunting and battle practice, but she pretty much puts a hundred precent into everything I asked her to do, whether I push her too or not,” Lightheart explained, proud and glad that he had such an enthusiastic apprentice.

Waterbreeze nodded and looked around. She saw another cat eating a fresh piece of prey that she should have been able to recognize. She would have to if she hadn't seen the blood. Normal prey was ok for her, but if it was freshly caught then the blood brought on her fear, and dizziness. Her vision blurred and she quickly turned away and kept her vision and thoughts away from the blood. She took a deep breath and shook her head to clear the blurriness. She was fine. She just had to avoid looking over there until the blood from the prey was gone. She smiled and thought about what Lightheart had just said. "I am sure that you are proud of your apprentice. You should be." she said with a sigh. She wished that Thornpaw would actually get up without complaining about it being to early.

Lightheart flicked his ear inquisitively, noticing that the she-cat seemed a bit distant for a moment, yet decided not to question it. "Of course I'm proud of her-- I'm proud of both my apprentices," the tom said, raising his head high in pride. Of course they weren't always the easiest cats to deal with, but he figured he was probably the same when he was an apprentice. Of course I'm way more mature now, the pale tabby thought, mentally scoffing.

Waterbreeze thought about Thornpaw. "Oh, I just thought of something that might make training Thornpaw harder. She already knows some hunting and fighting teqneques. I have to figure out what Thornpaw already knows and then teach her what she doesn't know."

"I don't think that would necessarily make training her harder," Lightheart said thoughtfully, twitching one of his ears as he thought, "I mean, it just means you'll have less to teach her. Actually, she might know some techniques that we don't, seeing as she came from somewhere else. As for figuring out what she already knows, I would say just ask her, then maybe you could help her improve-- or teach her better techniques for hunting in our territory, since it's probably a lot different than from where we came from," the pale tabby warrior advised.

"Yeah, true." she said and then thought for a moment. "Yeah... but with the different teqniques thing. What she knows might contradict with what I have to teach her." she said. She had to admit that she was probably just making it harder for herself, but she was a new warrior and this was her first apprentice. She wanted to do her job correctly.

"I guess, but that's probably because she originally learned skills that would best suit her during her old life, as a... uh, whatsitClanner. She'll have to re-learn some techniques if she want's to be beneficial to IceClan," Lightheart mewled, "but if you need any help on how to approach teaching her something don't be afraid to ask me or one of the senior warriors for advice, it's not very normal for an outsider to bet let into the clan, and I'm sure the others would understand if you need help," he continued.

"Good," the pale tabby stated, glad to see Waterbreeze valued his opinion somewhat. "So," Lightheart drawled, not really knowing what to converse about now, "what should we talk about?"

Waterbreeze shrugged. "I have no clue." She said. She usually let others lead a conversation so she really had no clue what to talk about.

"Weeelll," the pale tabby tom drawled, a pleased smirk making its way onto his face, "I wasn't going to bring this up-- mainly because I didn't wan't to seem like I was bragging or anything, but my mate, Dawnbriar, is expecting kits," he purred proudly, hold his head up high. He had practically bursted with pride when he had first heard the news himself.

Waterbreeze smiled. "That's nice." She said. This topic filled her with joy and sorrow as she currently had no crush or mate, but her happiness for Lightheart was greater than her sadness for herself.
