Turtleshell lifted himself with a flick of his black stumpy tail and a blink of hid emerald green eyes. Hopefully something fortunately interesting would happen today... Maybe he'd see some of his friends he hadn't seen for a long time or maybe he would meet some new cats to befriend.
The young, large warrior stepped stealthily out of the den where he was sleeping in the previous couple of minutes. He ran out into the clearing with a smile. The snow had cleated, leaving the beautiful green grass he loved during his early days. The air was starting to warm up a little and everything was back to how he remembered.

Barrensong was caught up in a nap, lazing her days away from training Metalpaw. There was a sound of something being stepped on and the mute's ears flicked to and fro. Someone was awake. Opening her eyes, she searched around, slightly lifting up her head until she saw the shadow of a cat waiting outside of the den.
Hmm? Who was that? Barrensong got up and slid out of the den, boldly sitting beside the stranger. Well who was he?

Turtleshell turned his multicoloured head when he noticed that someone else had awoken and sat next to him. He decideed that he may as well be polite and greeted the stranger, "Hi there. I'm Turtleshell." It wasn't weird to tell a random stranger your name when you'd only just met them.
He smiled as he awaited her response, unaware that the young warrior was a mute.

Turtles were creatures that were slow, but had a sharp bite. Barrensong figured she had to keep a watchful eye in case something would upset the tom. Turtleshell was a different name.
She returned his smile, feeling the pressure to do so and continued her quizzical stare.

Turtleshell tilted his head confusedly at her silence. His flicked his ginger ear awkwardly along with his black stump tail.
"Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" He didn't understand why she wouldn't talk. Was she shy or something?
He stopped tilting his head as he felt it would way him down to the side and make him fall over which would probably result in a bad impression.
He sat and waited.

Earthblossom rose from her nest, her jaws splitting in a yawn. Her long black claws sunk into the moss and her back arched. "Oh, good morning Barrensong, Turtleshell." The huge tabby shecat smiled and began her morning grooming session. "How have you guys been? Its been awful busy and I haven't talked to many cats lately." She meowed, breaking the silence, which made her wince and her shoulders tense for a while.
