Oh yeah Tigerfrost was back. He was back and better than ever. Okay no but really, Tiger was back. He had spent some time (More like forever) alone with his thoughts. He hadn't seen his friends or anyone for that matter. Well it was finally the day he decided to see them again. The sun beamed down from the sky with threatening hot rays. He was hot and decided to sit under the shade of a rock towards the edge of the camp. His eyes scanned the camp looking for a certain she cat. Petalfur. I'm sorry I left you. Please understand. He thought with a longing look in his eyes as he continued to look for her. (So sorry Petalfur ... Kinda lazy right now.) |

A Bengal she-cat scooted the rest of her mouse towards the gray tom beside her. "I can't eat any more; I'm stuffed. Can you finish it for me so I can laugh at you're plumpness?" She teased the tom, smiling, and tucking her paws further under her chest.
Newleaf had arrived, and with it an abundance of prey. Petalfur had been able to get tons of hunting done, and all trips succeeded. Young prey was everywhere, and Petalfur knew that if she was to get an apprentice, she would need to remind them not to kill the young ones.
While looking around, Petalfur's eyes landed on a familiar dark pelt. The tom seemed to be watching her, and she blinked her teal eyes, meeting his gaze. It took a moment, but then....
"Tigerfrost?" Her voice was low, probably only Ashfrost could hear, mostly talking to herself.

Tigerfrost looked a little longer before stepping out and into the light. It was her. It was Petalfur. He stifled a purr and slowly padded up to her. Wait and was that? No it couldn't me. "Ashfrost? Petalfur? Is it really you?" He asked as he tilted his head and watched the two other warriors with bright eyes.

night. | Somehow, Ashfrost couln't believe he was once more standing face to face with Tigerfrost. How long had it been? But then again, Ashfrost had nowhere to speak, for he too had left for a great deal of time. This must be something like how Petalfur felt when she saw Ashfrost once again. And knowing what Petalfur and Tigerfrost once had, Ashfrost couldn't help but shift uncomfortably on his feet. Now that he and Petalfur had mended their bonds, he wondered how Petalfur would react to Tigerfrost.
"Greetings," Ashfrost said nodding coolly to Tigerfrost. "I have not seen you in quite a while. Where have you been?" Flashes of Tigerfrost and him once being great friends and playing so much when they were young raced though his head. He wondered if they would ever be friends like that again. Only time would tell. |

Petalfur could hardly suppress a purr of amusement. Her eyes softened, as she couldn't see any tension if there was any. As Tigerfrost stepped forward, she stood and attempted to touch noses with him. The tom was a dear friend, and nearly her mate. It didn't get that far before he left. Again. And the cycle continued.
The two toms had been better friends than she had been with either of them. When they were kits, she was constantly pestering them and being stubborn for the sake of getting their attention. Petalfur remembered it all clearly, and her smile deepened. She didn't want there to be tension between them.
"It's been so long! I've missed you," Petal added, trying to twine her tail with Ashfrost slightly to show she meant to be friendly.

Tigerfrost purred as Petalfur approached him. "Greetings to you as well Ashfrost. It has been awhile... A long while actually." He said with a deep throated chuckle. "Oh well you know. Ive been here and there, but I just took some time to think about everything." He meowed before thinking about all the good times they had. When he looked at Ashfrost that was all he saw, and yet they fought over Petalfur. No. Not anymore. When he turned to Petalfur again he leaned forward and touched noses with her. "It is wonderful to see you again Petal. It sure has been awhile." He purred softly and stepped away from her. He watched as she twined her tail with Ashfrost, taking that as a sign that they were mates. He slightly dipped his head and took a few more steps back. He to had his own mate, which he yet to talk to again. "So what have you two been up to?"

night. | He didn't fail to notice how Tigerfrost stepped back again. He didn't fail to notice how close Petalfur had stepped toward him. He didn't fail to notice what she was doing, and honestly, he didn't fail to notice a lot. But this sittuation prove a little more...awkward to Ashfrost that he would have liked it to be. Nevertheless, he would follow the conversation and follow what he (and probably Petalfur) expected him to do. And just as aways, he would bee cool, as ice. After all, this Tigerfrost was not really the one he had once known.
"Lots," Ashfrost said middle looking at Tigerfrost and offering a smile. "Lots of getting back used to things. Lots of spending time with Petalfur. Lots of hunting too. Prey is really running well" Oh, how he hated idle chatters like this. He leaned into patellar briefly hoping she would catch the message. Still he smiled at Tigerfrost and asked his question in return. "How about you? What have you been doing?" |

Petalfur wasn't much of a small-talker anyway, and received the gesture from Ashfrost clear as day. Flicking her tail towards his ankle, briefly touching it, she tried to make it subtle that she understood. I'll try to do the talking then, She thought despite herself.
"Battles, arguments, aging, disappearing warriors.... A lot had happened since the three of us were all together," Petalfur added, her eyes flicking to her mate then back to Tigerfrost. "How have you been?"

Tiger watched his friends and finally got the message. Why let it bother him when he had his own mate. He took a few steps closer to the two and smiled. "Well Lots of things happened with me. I got a mate. Seems you to have found love within each other. And I find that soothing to know my two friends have gotten close." He meowed with a purr and dipped his head in understanding. This small talk was getting on his nerves and he wanted things to be normal between them again.

night. | "Mate?" Ashfrost couldn't hide his surprise or pleasure "Since when? Tell me." He was glad the idle chatter was over and the real conversatin had begun. He sat, measuredly flicking his tail over his paws and waited for the information he was seeking.
So much had happened in such a short amount if time. Well, it wasn't really a short amount of time but standing here and looking back, it seemed short to Ashfrost. He was glad for the time away and the time to come back and start again. It made things easier and made what he had chosen now seem so much more right. it was in these moments he remembered how much he loved IceClan and Petalfur. |

Petalfur purred, though she felt awkward with Tigerfrost's comment. I never wanted to hurt him, she thought, hoping she hadn't broken the tom's heart, or at least not too much.
"Who is she?" Petalfur demanded, avoiding his mention of she and Ashfrost being mates, and trying to break the awkward small-talk so they could be friends again. True friends. Like they were all those heartbreaks ago.

He laughed when they both started pestering him about his new mate. "Im not sure if you know her or not but her name is Shineheart. I'm sure you will meet her one day. I hope I can introduce her to you both one day." He meowed with a proud glint in his eyes as he spoke of his mate. He remembered when he and Ash both wanted Petal as theirs. He was glad that he was able to find someone other than Petal to share his love with.

This pleased Ashfrost, not only because on of his best friends had found love, but also because they could still be friends and Petalfur would be more that just an object in which the two must compete for. "I'm so happy for you!" Ashfrost expressed lightly bouncing on his paws before realizing he was doing in and stopping.; |

The Bengal giggled at Ashfrost's jumping, and flicker her tail against his flank to tease him and reassure him of what she was going to say next. Turning her eyes back to her old friend, she crouched in an attack stance, playfully lashing her tail. "How dare you choose Shineheart over me!" she growled, obviously trying to make a joke. Then, she jumped forward at startling speeds and attempted to knock Tigerfrost off his feet and pin him down with a paw on his shoulder and a paw on his hind legs.

Tigerfrost was glad both his friends seemed happy for him. He was also glad that they had left the awkward conversation they had just had. He had opened his jaws to say something but flinched back at Petalfur's remark. Sure she thought it was obvious that she was playing, but Tiger thought that she was offended. He stepped back a little, hurt flashing through his eyes. "I-I um. Petal I um... What?" He asked confused. He thought she was with Ash. When she jumped at him he allowed her to pin him to the ground. "I-um... Petal." He said again, confusion in his amber gaze.
