Vixenleap (continuing from our last thread) Liongrowl walked into the den with Vixenpaw resting on his shoulder and he helped her to a nest. "Okay. Now that I have the rest of my herbs in front of me let's take a look here." He said to her and padded to the herbs to find some Poppy Seeds for her. Liongrowl picked out a few and gave them to the apprentice. "Here we are. Poppy Seeds for you, Vixenpaw. Just chew on these." The tom turned for a moment and looked back at the herbs. "You just hurt that leg, correct?"

Vixenpaw groaned as she lied down, she leg ached all over. She looked at the poppy seeds that liongrowl has given her, " Nothing except my bruises and my leg.." She answered him as she licked up the seeds. I can't believe this happened, now I won't be a warrior til my leg heals..Vixenpaw thought sadly. (Should grey join the thread )

( Grayshade - tagging you here in case you wanna join the thread) Liongrowl grumbled among himself and without turning back to face Vixenpaw he said, "Bruises will be okay. The Poppy Seeds will take care of the pain. Warning, they might make you sleepy. For some it's stronger than others. And let me get some more herbs and cobwebs for this." Not every day that someone actually manages to break their bone. He grabbed a little more rush and some cobwebs to help bind the leg. "Okay. Now I want you to stay in the den for a little while. It's best to keep off of that leg."(I'm sure you know that according to Waspwing's rules you have to role play with this injury for two weeks in every thread. First rule. Just wanted to tellyou just in case.)

(HELLO EVERYONE)
Grayshade stuck her head into the medicine cat den and was promptly greeted by the sight of Liongrowl tending to an apprentice who's leg was laying at an awkward angle. "Yikes," she hissed with a sharp inhale, hurrying over to them. "Comfrey," she said, surveying the scene. "Or daisy leaves." She frowned a little at the apprentice. "How did this happen?" And then to Liongrowl--"Is there any bleeding?"

Vixenpaw stared at the other medicine cat. "I.. I fell out of a tree getting cobwebs for you guys.." She admitted. I hope liongrowl isn't blaming himself or greyshade is blaming him.. She thought. It was the sparrows fault, no it was my fault. "I shouldn't have climbed that tree, then you wouldn't waste your herbs on me.." She said sadly.

Liongrowl looked at his fellow medicine cat as they named two of the herbs and said, "No bleeding. There are some bruises and a broken bone though. Her back leg. And I already gave some poppy seeds to her." He turned to face Vixenpaw and he shook his head. He was glad she didn't go outright blaming him for her fall. Liongrowl glanced at Grayshade before saying to Vixenpaw. "Well at least you know to be more careful now."

Vixenpaw muttered an ok, she then lied her head down to rest. "When will my leg heal, I'm so close to being a warrior.." She said partly to herself. She then closed her eyes and tried to sleep.

He looked over at the apprentice. "It'd be better I'm sure in about two weeks, maybe a little more. I doubt any less. But please be careful for now, Vixenpaw, and in the future." Liongrowl said to her with a firm nod and took note that she was heading off to sleep. CloudClan take care of her and please help her leg.

Grayshade listened with almost amused exasperation. Climbing a tree, of course, yet retrieving cobwebs for the medicine cats... Even she couldn't be angry. "All right, it's fine--you've learned," she said, nodding to Liongrowl's words. All right, enough conversation--she reached to snatch a few daisy leaves and comfrey root from the stocks. She chewed the daisy leaves into a paste with the comfrey root, wrapping it in a poultice and placing it as gently as she could on the broken leg, smiling almost fondly as the apprentice drifted into sleep.
She glanced at the rush and cobwebs Liongrowl had gathered. "Do you want to bind it, or should I?"
(are you going to PM Darkstar to change your rank to medicine cat?)

Liongrowl looked at Grayshade with a tilt of his head. "If you could bind it that would be good. I'll put away the other herbs in their rightful spot. I tried to bound it out there but I didn't want to stay out in the territory too long. It looked a bit wonky so I wanted to get it back to the den." He grabbed some of the other herbs and placed them with the same herbs almost like a child's matching game. (I pm-ed her earlier but she wont see it till she gets on.)

(kay cool)
"Okay," Grayshade murmured. She'd bound enough bones, but she remembered the first few times--absolute terror of screwing up and making everything worse. "You may not want to drift off just yet," she warned the apprentice. "It probably won't hurt... much."
She lifted the rush in her teeth and set it by Vixenpaw's leg, swabbing some cobwebs on to her paws. "All right," she muttered, half to herself as she wound the cobwebs around Vixenpaw's thigh, binding it carefully to the rush. The next part was the one cats had trouble with. "Just breathe," she told the apprentice as she carefully straightened the leg against the rush, trying to make it as swift and painless as possible. Once it was straight she used the rest of the cobweb to bind it again.
"The poppyseeds will be doing their job in just a moment," she promised the apprentice. "I'll have another apprentice fetch you some water and prey later." She admired the splint. It was one of her cleaner ones.
