I have a really bad habit of making time fly by so fast in my books.....
Chapter One
The fierce look of Lionstar’s eyes where focused on the gray tabby. Endlessfire stood beside the massive leader, a smile on her face. “Medicine cats are for the weak, Cherryheart. Barkfang died from being too soft with the war. He should have died moons ago, when he took you, my daughter, as an apprentice. Endlessfire was an exceptional mentor to you!” Lionstar hissed straight to the face of the gray tabby. “An ‘exceptional mentor’? Ha! Is that why you ordered her to murder Youngfang after he completed the assessment you forced us to do?” Cherryheart countered his words. “Chase her out” the massive tom flicked his tail before Endlessfire leaped forward, claws unsheathed. The gray tabby moved out of the way before leaping on top of the deputy. She sank her teeth into the cream tabby deputy. The two she-cats fought hard before Lionstar’s growl came from above, and Endlessfire began to chase her away from the wastelands that what SiegeClan called home. The dry, dusty and rough terrain made her exhausted enough before the deputy tripped, distracted. Cherryheart dove into a bush that lead to tunnels. She adjusted her vision to see better in the dark, where the stone floor scraped her pads. An angry hiss, followed by a screech from behind the gray tabby. “What do you mean you lost her? There is nothing but bushes and dirt! Even Dark Tooth would have found her by now.” Lionstar meowed, by the sound of his tone, the leader was extremely angry. “I-I’m sorry, Lionstar. It’s hard to keep up in this condition. I fell from dirt in my face, and she was gone!” Cherryheart could tell that Endlessfire was ashamed and afraid, she reeked of fear-scent, and the tabby could smell it from far down the hole. “Sorry won’t bring my daughter-the traitor back to what is left of our Clan! You’re lucky that I love you now Endlessfire. Any other cat would have been killed for losing her. Even, if they were carrying my kits.” Lionstar, mix of growling and purrs made Cherryheart shiver. She remembered losing her mother at the young age. Snowyheart, was the name of her mother. The pure white she-cat was able to name Cherryheart and Youngfang, and she requested that whatever happened, if the two kits lived through Lionstar’s training, that her only daughter would have the name Cherryheart. Lionstar had accepted, still upset over it before he fell in love with Endlessfire. He was still rough, and now made his perch out of the bones of his kills. Prey and cats, he let only strong in, and to test that, they’d have to go through the Dark Tooth training. The ‘king’ of the forest of lost spirits. He taught Lionstar as a young kit, which made him a fearsome leader. That’s how he trained Cherryheart and her brother. I have to find a way to safety, away from SiegeClan, but in the safety of other cats. StarlightClan, please guide me away from the darkness of Lionstar. The gray tabby thought before going deeper into the tunnels. She looked down to see a drop, thankfully a small one into a cave with smaller tunnel-holes like dens. Dirt fell onto the wound in Cherryheart’s shoulder from the fight with Endlessfire. Ah, this hurts! I’d kill for some herbs now she hissed silently. Cherryheart leaped down off the edge into what seemed like an abandoned camp. There was no scent anywhere, but there was a tunnel with a small crack of sunlight, growing a marigold plant with dead herbs. Cherryheart picked some marigold and applied the poultice to a bunch of cobwebs. She held it in her mouth before turning her head and placing it on her shoulder. It was getting darker in the tunnel with the sunlight, and Cherryheart was exhausted. She left the sunlight tunnel and climbed up an old log leading up to another tunnel. The tabby followed the tunnel and turned where it evened out. Scattered, broken leaf pieces where everywhere, and some of them where rotting. It’s better than being hostage she sighed. Cherryheart laid down before wrapping her tail around her body and falling asleep.

“Hey, are you awake yet?” A voice whispered. Cherryheart lifted her head quickly, to see the spirit of a younger cat, the age of an apprentice, probably. “Who are you? How long was I asleep?” Cherryheart mumbled, blinking the sleep away. The smaller spirit smiled. “I’m Juniper Leaves, this was my home before the mountain exploded. My leader died as we evacuated to the lake. You’ve been sleeping for three days now.” Juniper Leaves mewed looking at the tabby. “I cleaned your wounds. They are healing fine now, and probably won’t scar. Here, you must be starving.” The pale brown tabby she-cat nudged a vole carcass over to Cherryheart. She nodded gratefully, before eating the vole. It helped, but she needed more to survive. “Thank you Jupiter Leaves. Do you think you could show me around the tunnel system, since you lived here?” Cherryheart asked the spirit. Juniper Leaves nodded before standing up and leading the way.
Dawn light shown in the sunlight tunnel. “Cherry’s fall, are you coming? You planned this patrol, you’re coming on it!” A voice hissed softly in her ear. Cherryheart cocked her head when she raised it. What the-Cherry’s fall? “What do you mean? Who are you?” This isn’t who I am…What in HighClan’s name is going on here! The cat looked at her. He was a dark brown tabby tom. “Cherry’s fall, do you have mice for a brain? It’s Rowan’s fangs. You’re our deputy! Dawn’s rise appointed you deputy many moons ago.” Rowan’s fangs meowed. A familiar pelt appeared, Juniper Leaves! “Juniper Leaves, tell me what’s going on here?! Who are all these cats?” Cherryheart whined looking at all the cats in the tunnels system she found. “It’s your Clan.” Juniper Leaves purred. “This isn’t my Clan! This is a band of strangers! I don’t know who these cats are! Why is my name Cherry’s fall? It’s Cherryheart!” She yowled in paranoia. Rowan’s fangs looked over at a beautiful cream and white she-cat with pale green eyes. “Amnesia…” She murmured, looking at the tabby. Cherryheart looked around, seeing the cave that she had taken shelter in. Was this her form in another life? “Now I remember. I’m Cherry’s fall” she meowed, lying to the cats. “But you will have to remind me your names all the time.” Cherryheart purred. The tabby sighed as she exited the cave with the patrol. As they searched for prey, things started to connect in her mind. Rowan’s fangs was her long-time crush, before Fawn’s rise. Jupiter Leaves was her apprentice, and she was a deputy. If Dawn’s rise died, she had full responsibility of this Clan… “What’s this group’s name again?” Cherryheart asked Rowan’s fangs. “We don’t really have one. But outsiders call us wild fangs, so that’s what we go by.” He explained solemnly. If she became leader, she would definitely appoint him deputy. “Lion! Every cat run!” Jupiter Leaves screeched as a massive lion appeared. What was it doing in this forest? Rowan’s fangs was frozen in fear, and the lion grabbed the tom in its jaws. “No!” Cherryheart yowled before running towards the lion and clawing its muzzle. The creature swung a massive paw at her, knocking her off balance. The deputy hissed at it fiercely, remembering her father’s training. She climbed up a tree, then leaped down and sank her claws into its shoulders before sinking her teeth into its mane. The lion shook her off before squeezing its teeth into Rowan’s fangs. The bite sank into his spine, killing the tom before running with its kill in its jaws. Juniper Leaves rested her tail on her shoulders. “I’m so sorry. We will all grieve for him as much as you will.” The apprentice sighed.

Cherryheart ended the tour of the tunnels in silence. Was she still walking? What had just happened to her? “And there you have it. Stay safe, friend!” Juniper Leaves purred as she guided Cherryheart out of the tunnels. When the she-cat disappeared back into the tunnels, a ginger tom struck a blow to her head, knocking her out.
Chapter one is quick. Let me know how I did. YES I KNOW JUNIPER LEAVES'S NAME CHANGES TO JUPITER LEAVES, I WAS LIKE, 10 WHEN I WROTE CHAPTER ONE ORIGINALLY, AND I UPGRADED IT TO BE MODERN THORNE STYLE. I AM STILL CHANGING THINGS LIKE THAT.
