Hello, my tiny little cupcake. This thread is an official description of Treeclan's territory. Now, I don't plan on describe every single square inch, since most of this is supposed to be left up to your imagination! However this will list what types of prey this Clan has and does not have (since some are 100% impossible, like whales), as well as landmarks that are generally accepted by most members!
Do try and follow this to some extent. Feel free to use your imagination, but be realistic when doing so! Hopefully this will help you with that!
PREY
Common Prey Animals:
These animals are common in the forest, and most, if not all, could easily be caught by any apprentice or warrior
- Squirrels
- Mice
- Shrews
- Voles
- Moles
- Robins/Cardinals/Blue jays/Doves/Pigeons/Starlings/Other common songbirds
Uncommon/Rare Prey Animals:
These animals are rarely sighted, and some of them may require the skills of multiple trained warriors
- Falcons/Hawks/Eagles (Would only be able to be killed by multiple trained warriors, and are also uncommon here)
- Rabbits (These most inhabit Fireclan and parts of Iceclan)
- Fish (There aren't technically any bodies of water big enough to hold fish larger than, say, minnows)
- Frogs/Lizards (You may find some by the stream, but not often, and most Treeclanners dislike the taste)
- Snakes (While some snakes do live here, most cats avoid them since it's most likely that they're quite venomous. Only a seasoned warrior would be brave enough to catch one)
PREDATORS:
Please keep in mind that you MUST get permission from Magnoliafrost or myself before encountering a predator/predators
Common Predators:
These predators aren't necessarily seen a lot, but are more common to invade the forests of Treeclan
- Dogs (of various sizes)
- Foxes
- Badgers
Uncommon/Rare Predators:
These predators rarely attack the cats within the forest, and are more likely seen in other Clans
- Hawks/Falcons/Eagles (They may be found around some of the taller trees, or Iceclan's borders, but usually stick to themselves)
- Owls (Rare is it for an owl to attack something as large as a cat, but it has been known for an owl to swoop up a lost kit in the dead of night)
- Wolves (Obviously this only really happens during larger plots)
- Two-legs (The two-legs rarely roam into Treeclan's lands, and usually when they do it's just to pick up their mangy mutts)
LANDMARKS:
These areas of the territory are widely accepted by the members of VWW, and have been role-played/noted for years
The Stream:
The stream has long been Treeclan's main source of both water and prey. During Summer and Autumn, prey practically frolics by it's small banks. During Winter the majority of the stream freezes, leaving only the "deepest" parts left untouched. In the Spring it thaws out, and usually the melting snow causes the stream to rise into almost a small river. Occasionally the stream floods too much, and can be a danger to cats walking it's banks. Near the northern part of the stream there's a large patch of herbs, such as marigold and watermint.
The Old Camp:
A few years ago Treeclan lived in an entirely different camp, closer to the Fireclan border. Unfortunately a forest fire destroyed it, and the Clan moved to it's current home. Now the old camp is forgotten by most, and is now mostly overgrown by new vegetation. Most cats refuse to go there as it's seen almost as a bad omen. Some brave apprentices sneak in to see what the old camp was like, while some smarter warriors hunt around the area which is now rich with prey.
