HellHound

Kodi walked from his den, heaving a sigh. The fire had taken a toll on him as he and his superiors lead him and the Omega in Yechta's pack away from the danger. He was absolutely drained. He also missed his old den beside the river. I wonder if it is still intact from the fire. Maybe it didn't touch it. Speaking of the den, he had decided to check on it, perhaps chase someone off if someone was in it.

The black wolf padded quietly to the den, seeing the charred ground around it. So, it did reach it. I hope the inside is okay. Kodi approached it, looking inside the den. Everything seemed fine. He gave a sigh of relief, walking out to climb on top of the rocky mound. That's when he noticed a wolf, someone so familiar it took his breath away.

"HellHound?"

--- -- - hellhound → i lifted my head, glancing over my shoulder at the sound of a familiar voice. the charred remains of the forest had intrigued me, so i had left toph in a nearby den while i went exploring to find any old landmarks. but it seemed i had found something better. " kodi... " i mumbled, my single eye brightening ever so slightly. i limped closer to the boy, a small smile on my ugly features. " it's been so long... did... did the fire kill anyone? have you seen drown, clem, or ellie? if... if you've met ellie before, that is. " i inquired, before shutting my mouth and sighing. " forgive me. this incident has me a little tensed up. i'm sorry i wasn't around to help with this. tell me, son, how have you been? "

Kodi was shocked. I thought HellHound was dead. He knew most of the forest, filled with the new wolves, didn't know the legend o this wolf. But, Kodi did. Memories of the Puppeteers filled is mind. He shook his head, just so he could talk to the wolf.

He jumped from the rocks, approaching the scarred wolf. The wolf shook his head. "I believe I met the two before. I haven't seen them in ages, though." He paused. "It didn't kill anyone from my pack. I'm not sure about the others." He cocked his head.

"I don't see any reason for you to apologize, Helly." he woofed, giving a sideways grin. "I'm fine. Angel's been annoying, though. How have you been?"

--- -- - hellhound → i gave another deep sigh and shook my head. " i do hope they're alright... toph and i will have to go looking for them eventually, if they haven't already abandoned the forest. " i muttered helplessly, wanting to go and search the ashy remains for them now. but i had to catch up with kodi before i did anything else. i nodded politely to his explanation, a slight scowl crossing my face at the angel comment.

" honestly, that doesn't surprise me. she's a very troubled wolf, lunging at everything in the worst possible way and makes far too many assumptions. it's quite sad to see what she's become. i believe i am part of the reason for her behavior. but, i am glad to hear you have been well none the less. " i replied with a small grin, meeting his eyes before continuing.

" as for me, i took little toph with me for some training at the base of the mountains. it's a shame she cannot see them, but she did enjoy all the smells. i returned with her when a traveler approached us with news of a recent fire. "

Kodi just gave a small grunt. "Have you heard word of Lythium? I haven't seen her around in a while either." He paused. "I tell Angel that I just want to be her ally, but she always blames me for things that I didn't do. She thinks every guy is evil and will take advantage of her." He rolled his orange eyes before meeting HellHound's gaze again.

"It's good that you're still training wolves." he said with a smile. "Speaking of that, do you know if any members of the Puppeteers are still alive? I think we should bring that little group back, now that the Puppet Master has returned." The black wolf's grin faded as he paused.

"Did you ever see Korosu? I'm worried about her." His voice grew soft as his gaze lowered to the ground. The last time he remembered seeing Korosu, she was a changed wolf. She didn't seem to remember him or HellHound.

" i have heard nothing of lythium... which worries me. who knows what's become of her." i gave a sigh, yet continued with my usual gruffness. " i mean her no disrespect, but she truly does have a large problem with males. it gets slightly tiring. however, i can try to reverse this little issue if she allows me in again. it will most likely help her, but now is not the time to discuss my plans. " i woofed, catching myself before i went into a long explanation.

" aah, i was hoping you'd ask me of the puppeteers. sadly, i do not know who is still around, but i'm sure we can manage with what we have if we were to rebuild them. we always do. " i grinned, suddenly anxious. " i do a have a few ideas for bringing it back, if you'd be willing to assist me, my son. "

however, at the mention of korosu, i let out a quiet whimper. " no, i have not. i made myself believe you were watching over her, but i can see now that i was mistaken. tis a shame what she'd turned into last i saw her... perhaps, if she still recalls any memory of us, she'll return. we can only wait and see. "

Kodi gave a frown at his response. "Perhaps she'll return." he murmured. Then, he laughed as HellHound spoke about Angel. "She seems to hate you then love you. Maybe a good talking will help." he replied, nodding.

"Oh, yes? I would love to bring the Puppeteers back. I'm all ears." Kodi finally sat down, tilting his head with interest in his orange gaze.

He sighed. "I wish I was. I miss her. I hope she comes back."

--- -- - hellhound → i plopped down on the grass, taking on a serious face. "angel will be no problem. i'm sure i can get her back to her old self." i mumbled, before getting down to business. "of course, it'd just be a small number of us. you, me, toph, angel if she's willing, and ellie if we can find her. i was thinking, instead of trying to take over the forest, because that's overrated now a days, we'd just sort of... govern it. make sure all the packs are getting along and such. be the people pack leaders come to when they're struggling. with this fire damage, wolves will be weak and hungry. then perhaps, if we gain a following again, we can raise a pack. but for now, we'd start small." i explained, cocking my head.

i frowned at the korosu comment. "i hope she does too, son."

I don't think I like the idea of Angel joining the Puppeteers. He dared not to speak this aloud. He knew how fond HellHound was of Angel, teaching her since she was young. "I think that is definitely a better idea. There's too many wolves trying to take over the woods, anyway, if you ask me."

i nodded seriously, my single eye narrowing. "such as that major fellow. i heard about him from a traveler. i remember when i wished to do that, but i've turned a new leaf, as you can see. not soft, just tired of the same thing over and over again. it got far too dull and demanding. wore me out. this new brute makes me want throw up a bit in my mouth." i said with a chuckle, my shoulders rising slightly.

my features darkened again as business crept back into my mind. "perhaps i should wait on asking angel. i do not know what has happened to her since i've been gone, how things have affected her. i'll give it a while. for now, toph and i will be on the lookout for ellie. see if she's still around... have you met toph before?" i inquired, going off subject yet again.
