LightheartDawnbriar awoke in the warriors den to the harse sunlight hitting her eyes. She stood up and yawned, she stretched out her muscles. She padded out of the den to see her mate in the clearing, she smiled and walked toward him, " Good morning, lightheart" she meowed as she gazed at lightheart.

Lightheart, lifted his head as he felt the warmth of the sun wash over him, his paws a still a little cold after trotting on cold stone during the earlier dawn patrol. "Good morning, Lightheart," a voice called, and he turned to face his mate, Dawnbriar.
"'Morning," the pale tabby tom answered a little groggily, padding over and pressing his nose against the warrior's cheek in greeting.

Dawnbriar felt lighthearts warm fur touch hers. She smiled and Nuzzled him back. "I have great news, lightheart, guess." She meowed, she glanced at the nursery, it will be her new home next moon. She looked back at her mate, "Well, guess!"

Lightheart blinked curiously, tipping his head to the side at his mate's excitement. "What is it?" he asked, intrigued. He hadn't spent much time with his mate since Lightfall's passing, so he was glad to see she was feeling better.

Dawnbriar smiled wildly, she glanced at the nursery once more. "I'm gonna have kits next moon, so you'll be a father!" She meowed excitedly. She hasn't felt so happy in so long, it felt so good to say this. She only hoped lightheart wasn't TOO excited.

Lightheart's eyes widened as he stared at Dawnbriar. Kits... he thought, his mind still wrapping around the idea. "I-I'm going to be a father," he stammered incredulously.
"Dawnbriar, that's amazing!" he purred, rasping his tongue over his mates ear as a surge of warmth washed through him.

Dawnbriar purred, "I'm glad, should we tell willowpaw and coalfoot, I mean, coalfoot did call dibs on naming one of them." She meowed with a purr of amusement. She looked at the nursery, "I can't belive I'm having kits.." She smiled, she nuzzled her mate and cried tears of joy.

Lightheart leaned into his mate's touch, brushing his tail along her back, "They'll be wonderful," he murmured, his voice soft with emotion. A father! he could still hardly believe it. "And we should probably tell Coalfoot and Willowpaw," he added, perfectly ready to boast about his unborn children.

Willowfall and Coalfoot (Aka cupidfoot) Dawnbriar spotted her two sisters around the fresh kill pile. Perfect timing, guys. She thought. She looked at lightheart, "Come on, I see them over there." She then padded over to her sisters and meowed, "Hey guys, guess what!"

Willowfall"But this is bigger news than sleeping, you furball!" Dawnbriar meowed with a purr of amusement. She couldn't hold her words in any longer, so she said rapidly at her sisters. "Lightheart and I are having kits! In about a moon!" Dawn the temporary queen in may so yay :3

Willowpaw had heard her sister calling her over, but had been a bit late. She saw Coalfoot already there, and flicked her ears, wondering what was so important. She overheard Dawnbriar as she came over, saying something about having kits. It took a minute to process. Dawnbriar is having kits! "Thats wonderful!" Willowpaw mewed in excitement, and licked her sister's ear.

Coalfoot perked up. "Kits?" She jumped up and pranced around the mates. "Congrats! Remember I get to name a kit!"
<oh yeah, that temp queen thing they just set up. Since people choose their own names, I'll just choose one that Coal makes up. She still needs to find her soulmate tho... ;( poor Coal>

Don't worry, you'll find you're soulmate soon XD anyway I got a new parody name for me, DERPBRIAR, eh, eh?
Dawnbriar felt warm inside as she received congrats from her two sisters. She purred at coalfoots comment, "Don't worry, I remember." She flicked her tail and her torn ear twitched, she was so eager she was figiting.
