for @vmarkowsky only purleeze
Oakpaw entered the den, her pawpads sore. She'd been out a long time training, and she was not adjusted quite yet to IceClan's rough territory in comparison to what had been the nursery's soft floor. She was still not used to the apprentice's den, often finding her paws steering her towards what had been her den for six moons when she was not thinking.
Not thinking, coincidentally, happened to be what she was doing at the very moment--or rather, as she would have irritably put it, thinking too much. She, as an intellectual, was always thinking, though it sometimes impeded things like walking. Or talking. Or looking.
Which is why she barged straight into the other tom. She jumped backwards, tripping over her large paws and nearly sending herself sprawling over the floor. "Sorry," she mewed curtly, averting her gaze.

I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to HEAVEN Silverpaw was tiered. Like really tiered. He had just finished some hard training and he was ready to go to his nest and snuggle up to sleep. AS he walked though camp his stomach growled loudly. better take care of that... He thought. He trotted over to the freshkill pile and picked out a bird of some sort. Then he walked to his nest in the den he now called home. He was so ready to sleep and-
-He crashed into somebody, hard. he didn't really move in the crash only his victim did. She ended up sprawling on the floor. "Muffahhh," he tried to say around his prey. The spatting it out he tried again. "You okay?" He asked almost kindly.

Oakpaw grunted noncomittally when the cat--it was a tom--asked her if she was all right, then realized, exhausted, that she was being rude. "Yes, I'm fine," she mewed. "I wasn't looking where I was going." Here she worked up the nerve to look up--he was larger than her, with a frosty silver pelt, truly fitting the IceClan type, and equally frosty green eyes.
"I'm Oakpaw," she mewed awkwardly after a moment. Wasn't this when you were supposed to introduce yourself? She supposed there were worse ways of meeting. "And you are?"

I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to HEAVEN Oakpaw's comments were laughable, at least Silverpaw thought so. But of course, he did not laugh. Just mearly looked slightly down at that cat before him and offered a kind of shy smile. "Nice to meet you Miss Oakpaw," he said dipping his head. "I'm Silverpaw." he said simply. Nothing more was needed of course.
He began to brush off his pelt and then looked at the drooped bird and back at Oakpaw. Was he expected to share the bird now? Ugh. Fine. He knew how to be polite, and how to speak well and nicely. So he supposed sharing was all part of the act too. "Hungry?" He asked flashing Oakpaw with one of his award winner smiles. Nice touch, Silverpaw though with a little smile. "We can share," He offered scooting the bird over to Oakpaw. [/div][/div][/div] MADE BY VEL OF GS [/div]

Miss Oakpaw. This certainly was a character. "And the same to you, Silverpaw," she mewed, lifting her nose a bit more and looking at him appraisingly. His name certainly suited him. She gave a quick smile in return to his flashier one, but shook her head. "I'm fine. I'll eat later." And I don't really like bird at all. She glanced down at the prey. Prey was prey, of course, but she could never get past the whole deal with the feathers, and it took awfully long to pick them all off. "You take it."

I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to HEAVEN Silverpaw nodded almost seriously to Oakpaw and took the bird from himself, picking out feathers and separating down feathers from nasty ones. He would later add the down feathers to his bedding to make it softer and probably offer some of them to the nursery and Queens. Meanwhile, he thought of something more to say to Oakpaw. "So," He started. "Who is your mentor?" He settled for. This is what apprentices talked about, right?Sorry...kinda short. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Oakpaw watched him eat for a second, regretting her retraction of the offer--it seemed this cat too liked to remove the feathers. Oh, well, she would eat later. She wasn't that hungry at the moment anyway.
At his question, she puffed up in pride a little bit. "Robinfrost," she said nonchalantly. "We only just began training." She folded her tail around her paws. "What about you?"

I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to HEAVEN "Ah, the deputy himself huh?" Silverpaw asked adding a flash of a smile before taking his first, actual bite of his bird. Yummy. His mentor was Horizonshadow and in fact...they haven't trained in too long now. Perhaps, Horizonshdow would take him out again soonNevertheless, Silverpaw ate quickly in hope to pass up this smalltalk fro something more interesting. He supposed such conversations were expected of him now that he was older. And then again, weren't primp manners another ting needed to be endoursed? "Well Miss. Oakpaw," he began. "My mentor is Horizonshadow." He fell silent, unknowing of what else should be said. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Oakpaw smiled a little. "Yes. I got lucky, I guess." Her grin widened a little, despite her own will, at the formal greeting again. Should she call him Mr. Silverpaw? Somehow it sounded dumber. She'd play it by ear. "That's a long name," she mewed, playing it again in her mind. Horizonshadow. She'd never heard of them. She wondered if it were a tom or a she-cat, but felt it might be impolite to ask.
As the conversation dwindled into an awkward nothing, she sighed. You only lived once. "Do you want to do something?" she asked. "Play a game, or practice hunting, or something?" She felt oddly out of character, brazen even, and hoped he didn't think ill of her. Smalltalk was for elders, not apprentices, she thought. Goodness. Was she having some sort of depersonalization moment? Nonetheless, she didn't retract the offer, though she felt heat rise in her face.
(is your status talking about silver?)

I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to HEAVEN Smiling, Silverpaw nodded. "Sure." He said finishing up the last of his meal. "I'm up for anything. What do you have in mind?" Ha asked licking his lips one last time. He bounced a little on his paws to get his semi-sore muscles moving once more. The sun was kind of dipping lower in the sky, but he didn't know how much time they had left before it was dark. Could they go out into the territory this late?Never mind, Silverpaw thought. We can do something here and perhaps go out into the territory another time. Deciding this was good he tuned back to Oakpaw and waited for her response. Though he did have another question for her, one that excited him very much when thinking about. Perhaps because it meant a lot to become a warrior, so he asked as he waited for Oakpaw to answer. "What warrior me do you hope to get?" He mused cooly, while also looking forward to an answer. Not really, Its just kinda a pretty thought...perhaps to mean something later in Silverpaw's life. MADE BY VEL OF GS

(oh cool, i just wondered because of female pronoun ) "I don't know," she mewed heavily, wracking her brain, but as clever as she might consider herself (and might well be), there was nothing she could think of that she had the guts to say out loud. Certainly no pretend games--they were much too old for that. "What warrior name?" she asked, thankful for the deviation in conversation. "Oakspring," she replied promptly. It wasn't like she'd thought about it all the time late at night or throughout her entire kithood or when she'd become an apprentice or anything. "That one's my favorite." She cocked her head. "What about you?"

"Or maybe Silverfrost...I haven't decided between the two," Silverpaw admitted. Though he thought both sounded very strong and pretty. He wouldn't admit such things out loud though. That wouldn't sound right...or how it sounded in his head.As for the what to do thing, Silverpaw guessed they would wait till tomorrow and go out into the territory. "How about tomorrow?" SIlverpaw asked. "We can go out and hunt together and practice our skills." Silverpaw proposed. "Who about that?"

(sure. you want to make it?)
"They both sound good," Oakpaw conceded. She liked Silverfang a bit, it sounded strange and a bit... edgy. "Sure," she added with a little grin. "Sounds fun!"
