Breeze felt uplifted as Jax tried to calm her. She dropped the necklace she had been carrying into the ash. She looked up and saw the twinkling sight of a star, she smiled sadly. She didn't have to be her deathclan self here, not now..

Jax watched as Breeze dropped the shiny collar into the cinders, his old curiosity about the item sparking up, but he knew better than to bring the subject up at such a tender moment. I'll ask Berr-er, Whiskey about it later, he thought to himself. A gentle silence had fallen, and the dark tabby wondered it he should break it. Would it upset her? Jax thought, glancing inquisitively at the she-cat for a moment. While he liked to comfort others, he had never really had been socially equipt to do so. His sister, Rowan, had always been better with others. Even Whiskey could start up a conversation (even if he tended to annoy the other participant with his... extravagant personality).

"Jax." Breeze said after minutes of silence, "Do you think clan cats would except a burned cat who's in deathclan?" She asked. She knew about the clans, her friend Roxy being another one of the cats who was interested. Maybe that's why she disappeared, maybe she joined a clan.

Jax blinked at the question. He hadn't been in these parts long, and he had only heard about the clans from secondhand stories. They took in Sky, though, he reminded himself. But, if the story was true that is, Sky had been a helpless kit at the time-- and only a heartless badger would refuse a helpless kit. "I may not know too much about clan cats," the dark tabby started, his mind grasping for the right words, "but if your willing to stand by them, then they'd be fools not to stand by you as well," he mewed. He hoped he got the words right. It had been awhile seen he had spoken so much to another cat.

Breeze nodded, a sudden thought popped into her head. "I wonder any cats here have more info about the clans.." She meowed. She then stared at her collar, it was time to get rid of it. She unsheathed her claws and tugged on her collar. She looked at Jax, "I'm fine, I'm not gonna kill myself." She said with a little bit of sarcasm.

"My brother might," Jax said, though he wasn't really sure. He had only just been reunited with Whiskey, but (assuming his brother hadn't changed since they were younger) he doubted the tom had payed attention to anything that didn't involve himself. He did promise he would look into the clans last time I saw him, so he might actually know something, Jax thought, but again found it unlikely that his brother would actually follow up on the promise. The tabby watched as Breeze brought her unsheathed claws to her throat. "I'm fine, I'm not gonna kill myself," she mewled. Jax smiled a bit at her sarcasm, figuring she was probably trying to rid herself of her collar. "Need help getting that off?" he asked, flexing his claws against the pavement. They were a bit blunt from the recent disuse and constant walking, but Jax figured that could still rip the tattered thread of the collar fairly easily.

"Wait a second." Breeze meowed as she managed to cut through the collars fabric. She picked it up and put it into the ashes, as a memory. She looked at Jax, "Could I meet your brother sometime?" She asked the former kittypet.

"I guess," Jax trailed off with a shrug, "but he can be a little... much," the tabby mewled with a sigh. Of course, he loved his brother to death, but, well, the guy could be a douche. I also don't know exactly where he lives right now, the tabby thought. When he had been reunited with his brother, Whiskey, it had been at his owners "bar", as the other tom had called it. The two-leg didn't live their though, and only worked from dusk to some random time of night. The place smelt sour and had a lot of idiot two-legs inside-- it certainly wasn't the sort of place he would want to bring anyone too.

"Trust me, I can handle it." Breeze meowed. She liked the fact that she could meet more people. She looked around, she could name almost everything here. The burnt house, the bar, some aabondoned warehouses and dens, and a small place where twoleg kits play (park), almost everything.

<should we wrap up this thread? I can start a new one with Whiskey later>
"Fine," Jax said in a if-you-say-so sort of tone. There were some cats that could handle Whiskey's personality, some that simply put up with it, and then those who were just to polite to tell him off. Who knows though, they might get along, the tabby tom thought with a mental shrug. "It's too late now, but we can go tomorrow," he said, starting to feel the effects to tiredness again. I wonder where I'll sleep...? the large tom thought, guessing he'd have to travel back to the junkyard.

(Yep)
Breeze nodded, she should make shelter in one of the old dens. She was gonna be staying there for a bit. "See ya, Jax, stay safe." She meowed. She then padded away to the den she was looking for.

"You too," the dark tabby tom replied, turning back to the direction of the junkyard. "I'll see you at the bar tomorrow," he mewled with a nod, figuring that she would probably know where the place was. After all, it wasn't like it was very secluded. Giving a farewell flick of his tail, Jax walked off, planning to go find a place to sleep.
