Fernkit blinked open her pine green eyes, screwing them up so she can adjust to the morning light. The silver cat lifted herself up from Dawnbriar's side and wandered around the nursery.

Eaglekit blinked open her eyes, the sunlight flowing through the nursery. She stumbled up to her paws and saw her sister wandering around. She waddled over to her, careful not to awake her mother or the other kits. "Fernkit, why are you awake soooo early." She meowed with a yawn, "Why not sleep in?"

[Fernkit]

Eaglekit's mew made Fernkit spin around quickly. "I can't sleep. Why even try when you aren't going to succeed? I could be up all night and still not be tired." Fernkit meowed to Eaglekit. Why do most kits insist on sleeping, when you can enjoy more of life when awake?

"Well, I'd like to get to get some sleep for when I'm an apprentice." She meowed to fernkit, she looked at her mother and then at the other kits. "Should we go outside?" She mewed. She honestly loved to sleep but she had nothing better to do since fernkit was awake.

Fernkit nodded. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, but it was often cold for kits, so mothers always kept them in. The Norwegian forest cat had an advantage, she was fluffy. Like, beyond fluffy. Fernkit trotted out of the den into camp. A breeze had rolled in, but it wasn't that cold. "Wad'ya wanna do?" Fernkit asked her sister.

"How bout we play mossball?" She meowed, grabbing some moss and making it into a ball. She tossed the mossball to fernkit, "Catch!" She mewed
