i need help with my signature

for the longest time ive tried to get a photo in my signature. i know its possible as ive seen many cats with images there but i cant figure out how to do it myself. help me please if you have knowledge on this topic. also i need to know how to get a link inside of it for my bio. again thanks for the help

Hey there Snowkit! Have no fear. It's actually really easy once you know what you're doing.

What you're going to need is a direct link to your image.  You can get this by just right clicking the image you want and clicking "Copy image URL."  I see that you have an image directly in your avatar, so I know you know how to get to this step.   
Anyway, after that, you'll just need to put the link in between img tags


[img]url[/img]
 
That will get you your image.  

For instance, mine looks like this:

[img]https://secure.static.tumblr.com/663d3b0488e2aba21a98e2326fb8d132/h5brcey/MOynk2jm6/tumblr_static_tumblr_static_72r0sdgosygwcgsc84oogcg0s_640.gif[/img]
And that gets me this.

I have a question, referring this issue.
Why is it that a tiny little box with an x, shows up where the signature is?
Am I doing it wrong? Is the file too big? If it is, how can I make it smaller?
Sorry for so many questions.

I looked into your signature to see what the problem was and you don't have a link to an image. It goes to the webpage that you searched in order to get the image.  

 this is where your link goes to. it doesn't go directly to an image.
