The tom meandered lazily along the bank, though not going near the water. It had become polluted recently, thanks to the stupid Twolegs, and he was still wary of it. Who knows what could have been left over? And he definitely wasn't in favor of getting sick. No, he'd have to get his water somewhere else.

Instead, he was just enjoying the quiet peacefulness of the day. He had climbed his way to the rank of Royalty, which he was extremely happy about. It must mean that Drought trusts me. He actually enjoyed the leader' company and thought of him as a friend. Maybe being royalty would strengthen the bond, and maybe he'd get in on all the evil little plotting a they did.

Eli was pulled from his internal thoughts from a sound not far off. The smell of a DeathClanner grew stronger - most likely someone going for a drink. "Hi," he said cheerfully, sauntering in their direction. "I wouldn't drink from here - it may be polluted," he warned.

i had come for a drink, hoping for a bit of peace. but instead i received a cheerful greeting and a warning. slowly lifting my dark grey head, my brown eyes met a fluffy tom. raising a fake eyebrow, i rose to my full height, which was not much considering my age. "you don't say." i muttered, pulling my gaze away to stare down at the moving water. "shame."

without another glance in the tom's direction, i turned tail and began padding away. "thanks for the warning!" i called back, starting to search for a new water source.
