Blackthorn padded into the elder's den, he glanced around curiously. He was looking for a certain brown and white tabby cat. "H..Hawkbreeze?" He hollered in a hushed tone. He hadn't spoken to Hawkbreeze in what felt like ages. When he'd become deputy he'd gotten busy and hadn't gotten the time to speak to the old tomcat who he thought of as of a father. This cat was even more of a father to him than Mintfrost. He looked up to him.
"Haw-.. Father?" He called louder.

Hawkbreeze had been asleep when he heard a voice call out to him. He slowly opened his single eye, blinking slowly. He saw the cat that was calling out to him. He lifted his head, tilting his head. "Blackthorn? What brings you here?" he asked, pushing himself into a sitting position.

"Oh sorry, did I wake you?" He sat down and gave a small curt nod in greeting to the tabby elder. "I just thought I'd pay you a visit. It's just been a bit hectic lately, so I thought I'd drop by for a chat." He felt comfortable and calm when he talked to Hawkbreeze.
"So, how have you been?" He inquired.

Hawkbreeze shook his head at Blackthorn, yawning. "I was in need of waking up. It's alright." The old tabby turned to lick his back before giving a smile. "Hectic? Oh, no. Please don't tell me cats are being idiots again." But, when were cats not being idiots was the question.
"I'm fine. Leopardripple has been quiet, which is slightly worrying, knowing her. But, it gives me some peace and quiet."
