Twistedkit had finally convinced herself to take a walk. It was really only her second time out of the nursery. Well, technically the first. She had only stuck her nose out the entrance of the nursery and immediately gone back inside, afraid to face the other cats. She wasn't thrilled to be stared at. It was all because of the twisted jaw she possessed. She had been born deformed a little and it wasn't exactly a blessing. If anything, it made eating a pain, and she knew that other cats thought she looked weird.
Feeling rather self-conscious, she padded out, her head down and her tail low. Perhaps if she looked like a nobody, no one would bother her. But then, she grunted. She was going to have to face her Clanmates sooner or later. She took a deep breath, then raised her head and drew back her shoulders, then marched forward defiantly. Let them judge. Let them judge the deformed.

Willowpaw was soon to be a warrior, or so she hoped. She was still stuck in the apprentice den, finally growing to look like an apprentice. She was unnaturally small, so when she was an apprentice, it looked as if an underage kit had been apprenticed. Looking around camp, she almost always felt lonely. All of her siblings and friends were warriors already, and they had duties. News of a new kit had arrived, supposedly by the name of Twistedkit. Some cat had told it was because the kit was born with a deformed twisted jaw. To Willowpaw, there was nothing wrong with it. The kit had no control over it, and just because they looked different didn't mean they were to be stared at. This coming from a poor cat that had been called a kit over and over again. Willowpaw heard small footsteps, a kit's. Looking over to where it was coming from, she spotted a kit with a twisted jaw boldly walking through camp. That must be Twistedkit! She thought happily. Willowpaw loved that she wasn't hiding herself. I think I will go over to her. Willowpaw told herself. She pushed her voices yelling at her every second of the day that there was something wrong with her, and walked over to Twistedkit. "Hello there!" She mewed cheerfully.

Twistedkit looked at the other cat in surprise, then lifted her tail in greeting. "Hello," She said politely. She was glad to see that this cat didn't really seem to care about the twisted jaw she possessed. She visibly relaxed, and she sat down. This new cat wasn't much bigger than her, but Twistedkit didn't want to ask her if she was a kit or not. That would be rude. What if she was just small?
"I'm Twistedkit. What's your name?" She asked.
