i logged out and checked my other sites and came back but my accounts seem to be deleted! i'm making new accounts. i lost about 100-odd posts but i can compensate for them. it's not so much the deleting - i haven't got a lot of posts - but the fact that someone could. anyone know why this happened? i'm still kind of shocked...

Assuming you didn't somehow do it yourself, someone else probably has access to your Proboards account. Perhaps a family member? I'd recommend changing your global password and going from there.

If you remember how many posts your accounts had, you can send me a PM and I will restore the post count. We normally don't do this - however, since it wasn't your fault that the accounts were deleted, it'd be unfair to make you start from scratch.

Question: What about mentors and such?

For any apprentice-aged accounts, I'd get in contact with your original mentors and explain the situation. They'd most likely be fine with resuming the characters' training.
