VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN Voleblaze blinked and yawned, long teeth glinting in the evening light. He didn't remember falling asleep in front of Darkstar's den. Perhaps the recent heatwave had worn him out more than he'd thought? The black cat got to his paws and headed for the warriors' den, figuring he'd share tongues with his mate before settling into his nest.
Except Foxtail didn't give any indication that he'd heard when Vole spoke to him, and none of the other cats in the den were acknowledging him either. Irritation made the the tom flatten his ears. Turning on his heel, he stomped out of the den. Maybe Rainlight had told all the warriors about his most recent prank and their idea of punishing him was giving him the cold shoulder all night.
He nearly bumped into another cat near the fresh-kill pile, but to his surprise, they didn't even look at him when he apologized. Voleblaze reached out a paw to push at the feline's shoulder, angry now - and stopped short. His pelt was transparent.
That was when he remembered what had happened. The black cat raced back to Darkstar's den. He saw himself in a shadowy corner, throat torn, blood staining the ground around the body. The sight made him feel ill.
Stepping back out into the camp, CloudClan's newest member sat down wordlessly. What would Foxtail do when he found out what happened? Even if a lot of his old Clanmates had been annoyed by his tricks, he was pretty sure he'd made a few friends as well. He was going to miss them.
It had been too soon for him to die. Now, of course, there was nothing that anybody could do about that. Voleblaze raised his muzzle to stare at the stars, shivering with the horrific realization that he was truly alone. WORDS: 303 || WRITTEN FOR: Anyone NOTES - Open to all CloudClanners. huge awkward time-warp going on bc hawk was supposed to die ages ago
Hawkbreeze had now been in CloudClan for ... several days, was it? Or maybe it had been a week. He wasn't quite sure. He felt like he was beginning to lose his perception of time here. Hawkbreeze gave a sigh as he padded back towards the camp that he had woken in. As he entered, the brown and white tabby paused, seeing another cat in the camp. There had been a few cats around since he had arrived, but this one looked new. And slightly familiar.
Hawkbreeze had gotten back his "good looks" from his warrior days, and he even gained his eye back. It had been a strange thing when he woke with two eyes open. The tall CloudClanner padded silently to the other cat, recognizing him from his death day.
"Voleblaze?" If he was right, that had been his name.

WORD COUNT TAG SOMEONE BY MINNIE OF GS AND IT ECHOES WHEN I BREATHE, It hadn't been long since Cherryheart had passed of Greencough. It seemed like many FireClan cats had been dieing since the start of New-leaf. First Plumkit, then Hawkbreeze, then her and now Rumors of Voleblaze. The she-cat went to investigate The vision in her right eye seemed to be restoring slowly, which was a good thing. The tabby set off into CloudClan territory. The sound of Hawkbreeze rung in her ear as she ran closer. ¸"Hello, Hawkbreeze. I see the rumors are true that you have died, Voleblaze. Welcome to CloudClan." TIL ALL YOU SEE, IS MY GHOST

VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN He wasn't sure how long he sat there. The Clan, completely unaware of the fact that he was even missing, went about its business as it settled in for the night. Vole watched them with a sort of silent longing.
The black cat nearly jumped out of his ghostly skin when he noticed another starry figure padding towards him. "Hawkbreethe," he murmured, a pang of guilt gnawing at his mind. He'd liked the elder and had been on good terms with him before the unfortunate wildfire. It still felt like his fault that Hawk hadn't survived. Maybe if he'd been a bit faster, the brown tabby would be injured but alive.
Cherryheart's arrival dragged him from his thoughts. He realized quite suddenly that all three of their deaths were rather ironic. A FireClan elder killed in a blaze; a warrior dying of greencough when it wasn't even cold out; a fool losing his life because he hadn't believed that the rumors about Darkstar were true. Feeling bitter, he glared slightly at the grey tabby.
"Thtop welcoming me. It'th not fair, I don't want to be dead." Seemed like even death couldn't cure him of that persistent lisp. Scowling, Voleblaze turned to look in the direction of Darkstar's den. "I didn't think it wath true…" WORDS: 214 || WRITTEN FOR: Hawkbreeze & Cherryheart NOTES - n/a template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Hawkbreeze had a little bit of an idea on how Voleblaze had died as the tom turned to look at Darkstar's den, uninhabited. The tom gave a sharp laugh, humorless. "I never talked to her. She always had my respect, though the things she was capable of doing were awful. She is a good leader, but she's a cold-blooded killer when she wishes to be." he whispered, his eyes half shut at the memory of living in FireClan. He was hardly aware of Cherryheart until she spoke his name.
"Oh, hello." he meowed, shaking himself from his thoughts. The brown and white tom could feel how Voleblaze felt. He didn't want to be dead either when he first awoke in this strange and empty place. He gave Voleblaze a small look of pity. "It's better you came here than the forest of the fallen. Who knows what suffering they go through." he murmured.

125 words Voleblaze, Hawkbreeze BY MINNIE OF GS AND IT ECHOES WHEN I BREATHE, "None of us want to be here. We have been brought here against our will. But there is nothing we can do now, Voleblaze. I was taken before I could even finish my apprentice's training, but I'm stuck here. I can do nothing about it. And neither can you." The tabby almost snapped. She gave a sigh before twitching her good ear. "I'd much rather be here. I was always a good cat. Hell, who knows what I was thinking when I went mad. CloudClan forgives cats, and I'm glad they do. When I died, I snapped out of it and realized that ignoring my own health hurt me. It hurt me and many other cats. Most likely..." Cherryheart meowed, looking down at her paws. VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN "But Darkthtar'th not even a good leader. Wildthtar'th better than her, and I'm pretty thure that kitty died ageth ago." He rolled his eyes, never having been a fan of FireClan's dictator.
But at Cherryheart's next words, Voleblaze bristled. "You were lucky! You've had moonth to enjoy your life. I only became a warrior two theathonth ago. I didn't get to thpend time with my mate, or tell him how much he meanth to me, or anything. I don't detherve to be dead already."
The spirit turned and stalked a few paces away, but anger was quick to melt into sorrow. It still wasn't fair… none of it was. WORDS: 109 || WRITTEN FOR: Hawkbreeze & Cherryheart NOTES - n/a template by Margie @ Adoxography v2
