Blackthorn was tired, everything was happening at the same time. All these deaths, the heatwave. He just really didn't want to think about any of that right now. He yawned, exhausted, and drained. He was weak and thirsty, not to mention hungry. The deputy settled down in the warriors den, found his nest and lay down. It was quiet in the den for once, he could not hear anyone complaining. He rested his head on his paws and closed his eyes.
He slowly began to fall asleep, until he finally did.

Shadyfoot had a big urge just to jump out of her nest, and that's exactly what she did. The heat, weirdly, didn't seem to effect the quick little trots she made around the den. Her body clearly didn't like lying around all day from the uncomfortable lack of water and prey. Trotting around the den made the black she-cat weary and tired, and she instantly regretted her urge to run around. She flopped onto the ground next to a black and white cat. She took no notice in who the cat was, but that strange urge was back again. She prodded the sleeping cat and waited to see if he would wake.
