Smokekit was having a really nice dream. He was outside, in the territory. The wind was blowing through his white fur. His gray eyes were closed, and then he smelled mouse. His eyes opened as he turned to hunt it. He was about to catch it when ...

Growl.

He woke up, feeling his stomach rumble. The tom sat up, looking around.

snowkit was sitting in her usual spot at the entrance to the nursery when she heard a noise of someone getting up 'uh oh. i'm busted' she thought as she whipped her head towards the place where the noise came from. she noticed the silhouette of a kit who was sitting in it nest. she sighed and looked at him, picking her way carefully past the other queens and kits the fluffy grey she-kit sat down and licked some of her white chest furs before whispering "hello, im snowkit, what's your name?"

Smokekit noticed the she-cat making her way towards him. The white tom looked around, making sure she wasn't going to anyone else before he attempted to speak. But, she spoke before he did. "Oh, hello. I'm Smokekit. Nice to meet you, Snowkit. Who's your mother?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

He had to ask that question "I don't know." She said with a shake of her head, blue eyes filled with confusion "everyone else knows who there mother is though" she added quietly with a small sigh and a dip of her head, she was now looking at the ground again

Smokekit couldn't help but feel a bit happier. He found someone like him! "If it makes you feel better, I don't know who my mother is. I am adopted into the clan, so I'm told. That's all I know." The white tom shrugged. "There's no need to feel bad. We're still loved."

snowkit nodded "it's great that your loved even though you're adopted. its wonderful that the queens can do that. i know im not adopted, i just don't know who my mother is." she said with a shake of her head. she didn't know why she had never met her mother, maybe her mom didn't like her. the idea of that made her feel slightly sick

[Smokekit]

Smokekit smiled, nodding. "Yes. They're amazing cats, aren't they?" The white tom looked back at her. "Oh? That's an interesting case." He paused. "I think my parents are dead."

[Greypaw]

She gasped from were she had been laying down."Dead?"She said standing up looking at the two other kits."Thats terrible...."She said.
