Dex flicked his ear with irritation as he travelled around the small town where he lived. Well, he lived in the poorer area anyway. There was a big bunch of really small dirty houses where he lived and then a little further away, the place began to get slightly fancier and fancier, eventually leading to some very large houses.
This was where he was heading to.
Dex always travelled towards this place, it was the best place to go and find some decent grub when his twolegs didn't feed him. As he travelled, a hug, fancy house with a pretty fence caught his eye and he ran over to it, jumping up onto the fence and looking over into the large, beautiful garden. But what he didn't realise, was a calico she-cat near some flowers. @jadestone ; NOTES |

Jade had been having a rather boring day. Her neighbor hadn't even stepped outside yet, nor was that loner anywhere to be seen. And her sister was also absent. Truly, there was nothing to do, but she certainly wasn't about to leave her backyard in search of some action. She loved her home. With the magnolia tree and wooden bench below it, and the rows of flowers and catnip she was currently relaxing in. Her housefolk also had made a small koi pond in the middle of the backyard, with the garden surrounding it and stone paths leading to different parts of the fenced-in area. Jade found herself laying on one of the rocks, one paw dipping into the water and staring at her reflection. Only when an unfamiliar face appeared on her fence did she raise her head, green eyes puzzled and curious as well.
"Oh," she meowed when she found her voice. "I see I have a visitor. Your welcomed to come in."

"Uhh, thanks..." Dex smiled with slight awkwardness. He felt strange, stepping into such a large area that wasn't the park or a parking lot. "I'm Dex, by the way." He felt ttat he should introduce himself, considering he had just bee invited in. TAG ; NOTES |

"Jade," she responded casually, sitting up and giving a graceful stretch of her legs. She stifled a yawn before getting into a more comfortable position, with her tail curled around her paws and shoulders relaxed. Jade gave her diamond collar a quick shift and then decided to smile kindly at the stranger.
"So, Dex." Jade began, giving the sky a glance and the koi pond. "Do you live around here, or are you just here to visit?"

"I actually live on the other side of town. But the twolegs over here always have somethin' to spare to eat." He asked her another question, "I'm not sure if you've passed my home before. It's the small, dirty one with the big metal killing machines (guns) in the garden. There's usually a Twoleg out there, always mad." TAG ; NOTES |

Jade was a bit shocked at what he said. "That sounds awful." she murmured with sympathy in her voice. Though, she couldn't image a Twoleg like that. "I don't usually leave my garden, sadly, so I wouldn't have seen your home. But, if you've come for food, I can offer some of mine. As long as my housefolk don't catch sight of you inside the house, its fine. Or I could try to bring some outside."

Dex nodded. "Thanks. I'd love some, my owner always forgets to feed me!" He continued, smiling a little, "Whatever ' s easiest for you." Dex purred before getting a little more comfortable. TAG ; NOTES |

Jade smiled kindly, and stood up. She gestured to the spot beside the koi pond. "Have a seat, though don't eat the fish." she replied, before hopping gracefully across the stone path and towards her home, calling a quick "be right back!" before disappearing through the cat flap, which unlocked when it sensed her collar nearby.
She hopped around the kitchen, going to the cupboard and prying it open easily. She pawed at the canned food, which was tuna, before mewling for her housefolk. And after a bit of persuading once the female arrived from another room, the can was opened and put in a shiny dish, before the female left-but not before giving Jade a loving stroke. After a moment of waiting, the long-haired calico then began to push the food dish towards the cat door, and finally when she reached that far, snatched it with her teeth and retreated backwards outside. It was a little difficult keeping the dish in her jaws, as it kept wanting to slide back to the ground, and she looked awkward caring it with her body leaning to one side. But, finally, she set it down proudly in front of Dex and returned to her spot.
"Sorry for taking so long. And I hope you don't mind tuna." Jade purred.
