VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN A lot of problematic things had happened since Vole's death. Strangely enough, most of them seemed to be the FireClan deputy's fault. Blackthorn had blatantly lied about the situation surrounding the dead warrior, killed and ate a trespasser, then hooked up with the very cat whose mate had just been cannibalized by Darkstar… not even a day after Voleblaze's vigil. The two had even adopted a loner kit already.
Saying that the Bombay was angry about the whole ordeal would be a grave understatement. As soon as the opportunity arose, Vole followed Black into a dream. They needed to have a little chat. WORDS: 103 || WRITTEN FOR: Blackthorn template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Blackthorn settled down in the den after a long day. Things were busy today with patrols, visiting Sound and Hawkpaw, ceremonies. Everything just seemed to pile up and by the end of the day the Deputy usually felt exhaustion by the end of the day. When he entered the den he seemed to let out a sigh of relief and he had never been so happy to see a bed. He planted himself in the nest and stretched, getting comfortable. He yawned and purred at the comfort of relaxation, something he did not feel often.
Soon the deputy fell asleep and began to dream. His dream was dark night in FireClan's camp. The setting was a little off though. He turned his head and saw Voleblaze. "V-Voleblaze?"

VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN "Thurprithe," Voleblaze deadpanned, though his voice was bordering dangerously on a snarl. He sprang without warning. Aiming to bowl the deputy over and pin him down, the dead cat's next words were spoken in a deceptively soft whisper.
"I want to know what you think you're playing at, idiot."
If he hurt Blackthorn too badly, the dream would probably end, and then he'd lose his chance to really interact with the other tom. But he couldn't be too gentle, either - Vole had been itching to get his claws in the deputy's skin ever since he'd seen what happened to Skywing. This was going to be tricky. He found himself pinned, but he didn't budge. He figured this was how things were going to play out. He could almost tell a dream like this would not happen for no reason. "I'm not playing anything Voleblaze. Is this about Foxtail?" He flicked an ear and shifted his gaze to the side. He looked back at Voleblaze straight in his eyes, and his own eyes softened. "Is this about Skywing?" He went on.
"The fact I hid your death?" He went on. "Or all three?" He added. He was sure Voleblaze was angry for these reasons. He honestly couldn't blame him, he felt horrid for what he'd done. Even his relationship with Foxtail, hiding the truth.. He was second guessing it all.
"What do you want from me, Voleblaze?"

VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN "I don't care if you want to be Foxtail'th mate," the spirit hissed. That was a lie. He cared too much - the fact that Fox moved on so readily had been gnawing a hole in his heart - but if Blackthorn could make him happy, he'd find a way to deal with it.
Except the deputy wouldn't make him happy. There would only be more betrayal. Vole had trusted Black; he'd thought that the deputy would bring FireClan back to sanity once Darkstar was dead. What a fool he had been.
"Tell me everything. CloudClan help you, if you decide to thtart lying…" He let his claws prickle against Blackthorn's shoulders, grateful that the dream had granted him a temporary physical form. WORDS: 121 || WRITTEN FOR: Blackthorn NOTES - n/a template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

He gave a small laugh, but it wasn't because anything was funny. It was out of nervousness. "I find that hard to believe.. That you don't care. It's crushing you, isn't it?" His eyes narrowed. He did feel sympathy for the guy. "What exactly do you want to know? About Skywing? I killed him. Because he's a dirty no good cold blooded killer. He killed my grandfather and claims it was an accident. He was going to try and join FireClan. He was relentless. I couldn't let him in." He explained, wincing slightly at the claws.
"As for why I lied about your death? Darkstar's why. She wouldn't let me say anything. Probably would of eaten me herself if I did. Maybe done somethin' worse y'know? I was sworn to secrecy. I swear, if I could, I would of said something." He looked up at him.
"Was that what you wanted? Are you satisfied yet?"

VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN Voleblaze swore silently, furious at himself for being so transparent. Well… as far as his feelings went, anyway. He bared his teeth and did not respond to that particular question.
"But you didn't jutht kill him, because that wouldn't be ath much of an ithue. You're no different than Darkthtar," he accused. The long-toothed tom had watched the struggle between Sky and Black personally. It brought back memories that were already too fresh.
"You didn't need to lie, either. You intentionally made thomething up to get the Clan off your back," Vole snarled. "Of courthe I'm not thatithfied - you're dethpicable. To think that I looked up to you…"
How easy it would be, to sink his teeth into the deputy's throat. To make him feel the same pain that Voleblaze and Skywing had felt when they'd been killed. The dead warrior fell silent as he struggled with the urge. Why shouldn't he do it? WORDS: 154 || WRITTEN FOR: Blackthorn NOTES - n/a template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

He narrowed his eyes. "Heh.. Skywing deserved the worst. He was a complete monster. There was no way I could let him go off easily. Besides it wasn't the whole thing.. too gross for me to be honest. Not my thing. He knew there was a chance he might not wake up. Voleblaze was angry for the three listed reasons. Skywing dying, the lies about his death, and the question he refused to answer, Foxtail.
"I'm sorry Voleblaze. I didn't mean to cause anything for you. You were a good warrior. I did not just want to get the Clan off my back. They are the most important thing to me. But Darkstar would kill me if I told everyone and she could harm the Clan too.. I'm sorry this all had to happen to you. If I was there I would of done something. I'm so sorry." Blackthorn knew of a few ways to make it up to the angry spirit. Some ways which would hurt himself more than he'd like to. Things that may not be enough but would maybe give some underlying satisfaction. But would he see the light of day again?

VOLEBLAZE OF CLOUDCLAN "I don't care how awful he wath. You don't eat a cat," Voleblaze spat. Maybe he should try to make the Clan aware of the real circumstances surrounding his death. Darkstar would probably be angry enough with Blackthorn to take another victim. Then the deputy could see what it was like.
He lashed his tail. "I don't believe you. If you were actually thorry, you'd try to fix thith mess, but you're not." The dead warrior was tempted to force Blackthorn to give him a reason to let him go. Even then, maybe a few well-placed wounds would get the rest of FireClan suspicious… WORDS: 104 || WRITTEN FOR: Blackthorn NOTES - oops late template by Margie @ Adoxography v2
