i padded beside the young, blind she-wolf, making sure to keep my fur brushing her's delicately. my single eye was narrowed, while my body was alert. the search for ellie was not looking to be successful, which was bad for the puppeteers. ellie wasn't a fighter or anything, but she did have wits and potential leadership skills. plus, i didn't really want toph to be the only young one in our governing cult.
"you're tense, you know. lighten up." muttered the girl beside me, and i glanced down at her. toph's head was facing downward as always, as she had no real reason for it to be facing forwards. it saddened me slightly, as she always looked so... emotionless. i guess that's just how she was though. perhaps she thought of emotion as a weakness, much as i did.
i let my shoulders fall, and almost instantly felt a bit better. "i'm sorry, toph. i just worry." i replied, continuing on slowly. "wolves in this forest are stupid and reckless now a days. which is partly the reason i did not want to return. but i knew i had to because-" she cut me off. "you needed to make sure your family was safe. i understand." i let a small grin cross my face. "i'm glad you're a listener. come on then, we have a she-wolf to find."
open to two at the very most. i'd much prefer one tho.
side note; fawkes said that since toph is my character, it was most likely okay to 'powerplay' her lightly. if one account will be needed for a majority of the reply, i will be switching back and forth depending on who has the most action required. contact me if this is an issue and i will stop. |

Kodi was padding from his den. The pack he had join was basically dead. So, he unofficially left. He may be still part of the pack, but unless they showed any sign of life, he wasn't going back. He was walking around, trying to find some food. The forest was indeed healing from the fire.
That's when he noticed a she-wolf and HellHound.
"HellHound!" he called, trotting over to him. "Good thing I caught you."

hearing a voice, i paused, my head shooting upright and away from toph's direction. seeing the familiar black brute, i relaxed. "ah yes! greetings, kodi!" i said cheerfully, giving the boy a grin. "have you and toph met before?" i inquired, pointing my nose down at the black and tan femme. the blind she-wolf turned her eyes upwards and gave a sniff. "you smell familiar. i'm sure we've come across each other at some point." she replied, and gave a raise of an imaginary eyebrow. "but it's nice to... sense you, kodi. i've heard a lot about you."
at this point i turned my attention back to my friend. "is there anything you need, my boy? you said you were glad to have caught me. is something wrong?"

Kodi glanced at Toph, giving a nod. "I've seen her before. I've never really spoken or met her. Nice to meet you, Toph." His ears flicked. "Heard a lot about me, eh? I hope it's been good things ..." he said, trailing off. He had done some regrettable stuff in his lifetime.
"Nothing's wrong. I was just hoping to speak to you about the Puppeteers. We talked about bringing it back the last time we met." he woofed, turning his attention back to HellHound. "We'd need recruits to fill in the places the others left like Korosu ..."
