Lilackit's first day out!

Lilackit looked at the exit to the nursery, nervously flicking her tail. She was pretty nervous about leaving the nursery. Her eyes had only opened a couple of days ago and she was just getting use to being able to actually walk. She knew that she needed to leave the nursery eventually, it was the only way to be a warrior! She had heard stories from the queens and older kits about warriors, she wanted nothing more than to become one. Her dark blue eyes looked around the camp, looking for any danger before walking out. It was cold, but this was Iceclan so what more could she except? There was snow on the ground and it went to to almost get mid leg. It was cold, but she liked it.

Icekit lifted his head up and watched the she-kit walk out of the nursery. Hm... He rose up to his paws and followed the she-kit out of the nursery. What was she doing? Honestly, the nursery was quiet. There weren't as many kits running around as he thought. Maybe they were all tired. Lilackit and himself seemed to be the only active ones at the moment. Icekit wanted to make friends and play all day. The she-kit was standing in the snow, and Icekit blinked curiously at her. He smiled and padded up to her side, but he didn't stand too close in case she had a problem with him being in her personal bubble. "Hey there.. I'm Icekit. Do you... like the snow?" he asked and smiled at her.

Lilackit turned around when she heard another voice and grinned happily she saw that there was a kit around her age."I love the snow, I would have to! I live in Iceclan."She said with a smile."Oh, and I'm Lilackit! Do you wanna play? We could battle or hunt, I need to practice my hunting. I'm going to be the best warrior ever, but I need to know how to hunt first."She told him before she crouched down with a playful growl. She playfully batted at him with a loud laugh.

"I love the snow," That sounded more like it! Icekit liked that answer instead of she just "liked" snow. He was glad she loved the snow in Iceclan. He nodded his head and sat down next to her. "No one can bring snow like Iceclan can." Snow was beautiful, however, it was freezing cold. "I would have to! I live in Iceclan." Icekit could protest on that, and he decided not to. They didn't necessarily have to enjoy the snow. Lilackit was having fun so Icekit didn't want to kill the mood. "Nice to meet you, Lilackit." he purred and chuckled at her enthusiasm.

"You're going to be the best warrior ever, huh? Not if I can help it. We might need to have a friendly competition. What do you say? It sounds like a lot of fun." The gray tom crouched down with Lilackit and when she batted at him, he lunged forward to pin her down.

Lilackit giggled when she was pinned down and wiggled around, the tom was bigger so she was having trouble trying to get up."I bet you can't find me in the snow!"She challenged as she crawled out from underneath him and tried to bury herself out from underneath the snow. She let out a hiss when she accidentally got some snow up her pink nose. She shot up and sneezed, licking her paw and swiping it over her nose."Maybe not, let's see who can jump farther!"She said as she lept from her spot, managing to make it a few feet.

What a wiggle worm she was! Icekit growled playfully and continued to pin her down onto the soft blanket of snow. Before he could do anything like swipe at her ears, the wiggle worm kit had already slipped out from underneath him. He laughed and jumped back, scanning the snow with his green eyes for something brown crawling around in it. Did she think he would forget what color she was? The white in her fur would help but the brown could easily give it away. Icekit shuddered at the thought of finding something else brown that wasn't the brown splotches on Lilackit's pelt.

He raised up on his hind legs and stuck his tongue out to catch snowflakes, but he lost balance and fell backwards into the snow. He rolled about once or twice and got up, shaking the snow off of his gray fur. Lilackit came up with the idea to see who could jump farther. Oh, great.. Icekit watched how high Lilackit could jump and he crouched down to ready himself for his big jump. He pushed off with his legs and jumped into the air, batting at some snowflakes while he was at it. "U-Um... how was that? I don't think it was as good as yours. You jumped higher." he said with a smile.

Lilackit watched as he jumped and stared at him with wide eyes."That was great, you went farther though!"She reassured him. Lilackit looked around and her eyes focused on the warrior's den. She was a curious kit and always wanted to know what was inside each den."Wanna go look in there? We can see where the warrior sleep! I mean, we'll be sleeping there one day! I can't wait, I'm gonna catch so much prey and feed the clan!"She exclaimed as she used her paw to spray some snow on Icekit before tilting her head."Why do they call you Icekit? I don't see anything that really looks like ice."She asked as she moved closer to him.

"I... did?" Icekit looked at where he jumped and tried to imagine how far he really did jump into the air. That was a surprise if Lilackit was telling the truth. Then, Lilackit jumped to another subject. That was normal for kits to be easily distracted with everything around them and several thoughts. Icekit was more calm, though. He walked up to her and looked to the warriors' den. His smile turned into a frown and he wasn't sure if that would be a good idea. "Well, it's not like we would be going out into the territory. I think the only den that should really be off limits would be the leader's den. I'm sure we could visit the warriors' den.."

Icekit smiled at Lilackit, and he was glad to hear that she would be loyal to her clan and freed them if they were starving. He was sure she would do her best to make her clan happy. He could already tell. Icekit laughed and shivered, shaking the snow off of his face. "B-Brrr!" "Why do they call you Icekit? I don't see anything that really looks like ice." He shrugged his shoulders and noticed Lilackit moving closer toward him. The tom backed up a little bit awkwardly and gulped.

"U-Uh... what is it? I don't know why my mother called me Icekit. I guess she just liked the name. Um... why do they call you Lilackit?"

Lilackit looked at her fur."The brown is actually a dark lilac color, I guess that's why I was named that."She said as she suddenly smirked and let out a playful growl, tackling Icekit."I'm an enemy warrior, invading your territory! Defend yourself!"She said with a giggle. Lilackit may be small, but every once of her body is filled with pure energy. It was a shame that she couldn't go outside of the territory without getting in trouble. She wanted to know what it look like and now, she would have to wait 6 moons for her to actually see it."I'm the Deathclan warrior, Lilac...."She trailed off as she tried to think of a name."Um,...death? Lilacdeath?"She finished lamely with a sheepish smile.

Icekit listened to her explanation behind her name. Ah, that would make sense. Lilackit actually had an idea why she was named that. Icekit had no clue why he was named that. Was he named after the clan? Who knew.. Only his mother would. Maybe he could ask her about that. He let out a slight squeak as Lilackit tackled him out of nowhere. "U-Uh... Pretend you didn't hear that, Deathclan kitty cat." That was embarrassing! A small she-kit like her made Icekit squeak like a she-kit. Icekit blushed underneath his fur and looked up at her. "Lilac...?" he grinned and kicked gently at her belly with his hind legs.

Lilackit giggled and flicked her ear with one paw."Sorry, these ears don't do that!"She teased playfully though she gave him a gentle smile afterwards."I won't tell anyone, I still can't really run all that well. My feet slip up and I end up falling on my face."She told him as she got off of him."Let's play a game! I'm gonna go hide and you have to find me, but you have to find me without letting me know you are there!"She felt proud of herself for coming up with such a cool sounding game. It was one good thing about being a kit, it was all play all the time.

Icekit huffed and chuckled, looking up at Lilackit and still pinned in the snow. Lilackit started to smile. Help! He was just kidding, anyway. He was enjoying himself, playing with Lilackit. "Oh, wow, Lilackit..." he laughed. Maybe he could catch her before she could tell anyone how he squeaked like a she-kit. That would be embarrassing. Surely, Lilackit wouldn't do it, even if he couldn't catch her. Lilackit got off of him and he sat up, fixing his fur. "Stealth, huh? Alright. I could give it a try."

Lilackit giggled happily and scampered off to find a hiding place, though she wasn't really sure where she would hide. She looked around and noticed a huge pile of snow. She used her tiny paws to dig a small hole before crawling into it with a small giggle. She had no idea that her tail was sticking out, she thought that it was the most clever hiding spot ever.

Vaporkit turned around and started to name animals in alphabetical order from J to A. "Jackals... Iguanas.. Hares... Geckos... Ferrets.. Eagles.. Deer.. Cheetahs.. Badgers... and Antelopes! Ready or snout, here I come!"

He was just joking around. That was the kind of carefree cat he was. Vaporkit turned around and looked at the camp carefully. His green eyes squinted a little to see if he could spot brown. He slowly walked through the snow and tried not to make a lot of noise since the snow crunched a little as he walked.

The gray tom slowly made around every corner and inspected some piles of snow. He crouched down and walked around a pile of snow and noticed a brown tail sticking out. Icekit wanted to laugh but that would give it away. He continued to crouch and inched closer then he reached out with his paw and batted at her tail. "Gotcha!" he announced and pounced on her tail playfully.

Lilackit jumped in surprise when she felt something touch her tail. She thought that maybe something was hunting her and she turned to see that it was just Vaporkit. She giggled and turned herself around before pouncing out at him. This was fun! She laughed and then looked around before darting back into the nursery, crouching in a dark corner. She would wait until her unexpecting prey comes in before revealing herself.
