● cause i don't get
to sleep, no Ravenflamei gave a small scoff, tossing my sickly white and black head and flopping down onto the dusty ground. it was boring and lonely without green in the same den, and i didn't have any other friends to associate with. my emotionless features faced the den entrance, while my dark eyes drooped. it was sunny outside, one of the many things i did not like - sun. i hated the way it made my fur hot and muggy, especially because my back was draped in black. flicking my tail, i noticed a figure approaching the den. about the size of another apprentice, it seemed. i didn't move a muscle. i almost hoped that i was invisible to the new cat, as i did not like the way most others seemed afraid or disgusted by my odd and frightening appearance. so i lay there, avoiding eye contact as much as possible.

Ravenpaw padded back into camp, yawning. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, reasons explainable between herself and a cat that she had met on the border. She gave a sigh at the thought, moving to the apprentices' den. That's when she noticed a cat.
The cat was frozen in place. The tortoiseshell cat tilted her head. "Er, hi?"

to sleep, no aw man... i groaned in my mind, bringing myself into a sitting position reluctantly. "h-hello..." i greeted, yet my voice was filled with croaks (best way i can describe it. basically the noise the grudge makes. heh ^^;), making it a bit hard to understand. my dark eyes stared straight back into the green ones of this newcomer.
i lifted a stubby paw and placed it to my chest. "ri...ing..." i muttered, cocking my head in an unnatural looking way - it turned to an angle in which did not look comfortable, almost as if forming a right angle with my neck. "wh-who... you...?"

Ravenpaw felt wary around this she-cat. She fought the urge to wince at the she-cat's head tilt. No time to judge. You have to be at least ordinary. That may be a bit offensive.
"Ravenpaw. Nice to meet you." she meowed, flicking and ear.

to sleep, no i gave a nod, indicating a 'ditto' to the girl's 'nice to meet you.' i sat there quietly for a moment, awkwardly staring up at her from my neck tilt. i didn't exactly like talking, but if i kept quiet, i might not be able to gain a new friend.
giving the apprentice a blink, i simply rattled "a-aaah..." while attempting to find something to talk about. "men...tor...?" i finally croaked, bringing my head back up into a normal position.

to sleep, no i watched as ravenpaw suddenly became ravenflame because time on this website doesn't exist.
giving the warrior a nod, i knew what she meant about temporary mentors. i had gone through two, and finally just picked my best friend since he was reliable. "sa-agef...ur... the-n lo..tuspetal... n-now gre...enbird..." i groaned, giving a huff.

to sleep, no i froze. "f-father...?" i mumbled, my ears flattening against my head. he had kits and didn't tell me? i didn't show my sadness or confusion, but rather simply nodded. "be-est... fri..end..." i said, leaving out the 'and the only one who's every shown interest in me' part. i gave the girl a small smile, covering up my feelings. "y-you... no-not like... h-him?"

to sleep, no this time i nodded. "si-since... ki..tho-od...." i replied, flicking my tail. i then cocked my head in that odd fashion once more. "i-i... see..." was all i said, not knowing how to respond.
so i decided to change the subject. i barely knew this cat, but i quite liked her. she was calm with a bit of attitude. perhaps... perhaps we could get to know each other better. if she was willing. "min-ind doi...ng so-meth-hing... with... m-me..?" i inquired, giving her another small, friendly smile. it wasn't usual that i was this nice to others, but she seemed like someone i'd be okay hanging out with.

Ravenpaw blinked in surprise. "Kithood? Wow, I didn't think that you were that much older than me." That may have been rude, but she honestly could care less.
At the cat's question, she gave a nod. "Sure. What do you want to do?" she asked.
