Juniperpaw's amber eyes stared up at the night sky, looking at the twinkling orbs above her. They were especially bright tonight, though she didn't understand why. She came out her a few times a week, and slept later the next day. It was always a struggle getting out of the den though, due to her choosing a crowded spot in there. So far, the playful she-cat hadn't made many friends. Well, she had her nursery friends, but that was about it. She was somewhat scared, since her mother was always busy with others, she had never actually had physical contact with another cat. Maybe I'm just not likable? I dunno. She thought to herself. Well, at least the spiky-furred she-cat had the night sky to keep her company, for now at least.

LIFE DOESN'T GET EASIER YOU GET STRONGER The pale-furred she-cat exhaled heavily, watching as her breath split the icy night air in an ivory-tinted, wispy cloud. The velvet texture of her ears twitched inquistively, sensing another's presence. So MIstpaw slowly revolved. A cream she-cat was staring up at the night sky; whether the stranger was in admiration of the cold beauty, Mistpaw did not know. She probably was though, most felines were. After all, it was the home of their ancestors... But not hers. Would loners join the ranks of CloudClan? Even if they didn't believe? She felt a lump in her throat. When Mistpaw died, would she see her parents again?
She focused her attention back upon the cream-coloured apprentice. She had spiky fur, like Mistpaw's littermate Thistlepaw. Apart from that, she did look familiar... Ah, yes. This was Thistlepaw's training partner, Juniperpaw. Mistpaw had seen Juniperpaw briefly at their apprentice ceremony, too. "Hi, Juniperpaw," she spoke quietly, her usual indifferent tone filtering into the otherwise pleasant greeting. It was somewhat odd to hear her musical voice break the ghostly silence. The outdoors no longer seemed so austere. The moon a little more friendly. "My name is Mistpaw, do you remember me? From my - our apprentice ceremony?" she added, her brows raised in a curious manner. 222 words *throws self into thread* ulla

OOC: Wooo! Welcome! Juniperpaw whipped her head towards the voice, surprised, then chuckled. Another she-cat was sitting out, also looking at the night sky. "I think so. I remember seeing you around for sure. It's nice to finally talk, though." her voice carried her energetic personality, but was much quieter than usual. She looked back towards the sky, amber eyes widening.
"So, what are you doin' out here, Misty? Not many are up this late." she asked playfully. She gave the fellow apprentice a small grin, padding a little closer.

LIFE DOESN'T GET EASIER YOU GET STRONGER "Likewise," the snowy-furred apprentice told her, and she was surprised by how much she meant it. Juniperpaw sounded pretty enthusiastic, but somehow muted. She followed the cream she-cat's gaze back to the sky and her brow perked up slightly as her denmate's gaze widened. "I couldn't sleep, so I came out here, to think. Wasn't expecting company though." she admitted, laughing a little. "What 'bout you, Juni? A little suspicious, doncha think?" she added teasingly. "Not a plot to, oh, I dunno, brutally murder your Clanmates?" She grinned toothily back. 105 words thanks! yesh misty is her official nickname! ulla

OOC: yesss! Cute nicknames! <3 Juniperpaw let out a small giggle, then gave a gasp of mock surprise. "How could ya know?! I've covered up the evidence so well! Since you know, you're my next victim!" she teased, as she tried to look menacing by narrowing her amber eyes. The cream still putting on the act, of course, but then couldn't take it and gave into a quiet fit of giggling.
"Believe it or not, I'm just lookin' at the stars. I wonder about them sometimes, ya know?" Juni stated. She did frequently wonder about what they were, honestly. I know clan leaders take on the name "star", but aren't our warrior ancestors ancestors known as Cloudclan? They must have some special value and significantly affect the world I lived in. Are they small moons? Who put them there? Was there another cat looking and wondering the same things in another forest? Do they look they same for them? Oh, also they are really, really pretty. the she-cat thought.

LIFE DOESN'T GET EASIER YOU GET STRONGER "Oh no!" gasped out Mistpaw, backing away, her face frozen into a petrified mask. Until, that is, she let loose quiet giggles, grinning playfully at Juniperpaw. "The TreeClan Tormentor is back!" she said in a singsong voice, while her pale blue eyes were narrowed to suspicious slits, her fur fluffed up as if prepared for battle.
"I feel for ya." Mistpaw said in a mock melodramatic voice, but she felt the same. What were stars? What was the moon? Were stars and clouds connected? She interrupted her musing. "How's training? Is it different, having the Clan leader as a mentor? Well, you wouldn't know since Spiderstar's your only mentor..." 129 words they would be such a cute pair, especially with such different personalities! owo ulla

OOC:They are so cute omg Juniperpaw blinked in slight confusion. "I'm not really sure. Spiderstar's always busy leadering and all that, so he doesn't get much time to train me. He seems nice though, and so does my training partner, I guess. I guess there is a little pressure, though." the cream she-cat thought. In all honesty, she hadn't had much training at all, but understood her mentor was quite busy.
"What about you? How's your training going? Think ya are strong enough to take on the Treeclan Tormentor?" she gave a playful growl and a smirk. .

EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN "That must be challenging..." Mistpaw sympathized. "I s'pose that the Clan, as a whole, would probably expect the leader's apprentices to be better." She blinked at Juniperpaw. "Oh, your training partner's my littermate, Thistlepaw. How'd he go? He was really nervous about having Spiderstar as a mentor; he can be really obnoxious, but when it's a superior, oh no..." She chuckled lightly, tracing invisible patterns in the earth with her long tail.
"Hardly," grinned the apprentice, emphasizing the word with a short lash of her tail. "But I'd say we're about the same. Maybe I could. I've been self-training a lil', and if you've been lazy with your training... I might just defeat the TreeClan Tormentor for once and for all." She grinned devilishly at the end, letting her claws slide out and pretending to examine them as if checking their sharpness. 154 words i know. it's so darn adorable! ulla

OOC:oh my god juni's such a dork i cant even Juniperpaw grinned. "He was doing good! I think he was more than a little nervous at first, though." she stated. She suspected they were siblings, since they frequently were around each other. She honestly didn't know any of her siblings that well, but that was mostly okay with her.
"I dare ya to try to beat me, Misty! You may be strong, but the Treeclan Tormentor is the toughest thing in this area next to crow meat!" she smirked at the grinning Mistpaw, who was know examining her claws.
"You know Misty, the Treeclan Tormentor needs a partner to reck havoc with. Think you are evil enough to become the Treeclan Torturer?" she smirked playfully, giving the other she-cat a wink with her light amber eye.

EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN "Ha, Thistlepaw, nervous?" laughed the pale-furred she-cat. "He'll never hear the end of this if I have my way." she added devilishly. "Sure, Juni!" Mistpaw spoke the nickname slowly and with mock scorn as if she was purposely trying to infuriate 'the TreeClan Tormentor'. Which she was. She totally was.
"I am the essence of evil." Mistpaw said in a solemn voice, her frosty - in colour - gaze narrowed to slits. She paced tightly but nonchalantly around Juniperpaw as if deciding whether the cream she-cat would be her next victim. Her lips pulled up in a slight, amused smirk. "Hmm, it's a toughie." she murmured in a musing voice. "On one paw, I find it greatly amusing to murder; though I, ah, enjoy to play with my, ah, food a little before I eat it... On the other paw, I have nothing to gain." She whipped around, grinning evilly. "Okay. But I get to be the TreeClan Tormentor. It's a cooler name." ### words dorkiness = swaaaag ulla
