Maggy was in the backyard of her two leg home. The cat was hissing in frustration as she clawed at the thing that was wrapped around her neck. It was a bright green collar that matched her eyes. It didn't matter what color it was either way. She wouldn't be a kittypet for much longer nor would she stick around long enough to look fabulous in it. Maggy rolled around and tried to kick at it with her hindlegs. Her ears were pinned back and she immediately quit messing with it. She let out a frustrated huff in defeat and laid there, thinking of what she should do next. Sunfish

Hookfang wasn't exactly your typical FireClanner. He was a bit more ... troublesome. He was getting himself in a bit of trouble now, being in twoleg territory and all. The russian blue tomcat came upon a neighborhood and decided to quench his curiosity. He found a yard and jumped on a fence. He heard a hiss and he flicked an ear. His eyes wandered towards the source.
He lounged on the fence lazily. "You don't sound too happy, miss. Then again, I'd pity anyone wearing one of those." He flicked his tail with a small crooked grin. But his words weren't really meant for insult.

She was also a Russian blue cat except she had a white splotch on her chest. Maggy made a sound with the mixture of a purr and a meow. She rose up to her paws and flicked her long tail, padding up to the fence. The she-cat sat down and stared up at the cat, guessing he wasn't a kittypet.
"Are you one of those group cats or whatever?" she asked. Those group cats were getting kind of annoying. Was he going to steal her catnip? Did he know Blackthorn? There were so many questions she wanted to know the answers to but it seemed only pointless. Blackthorn hadn't visited again since then. She doubted he ever would return unless he just wanted the catnip.
It gets lonely... But why would cats like them care? It doesn't matter anyway. Maggy glanced at her collar even though she couldn't actually see it since it was right at her neck not any lower. "This is my first time wearing this... I'm Maggy, by the way." she said and looked up at him. "Come down so I don't hurt my neck looking up at you like this~ What's your name?"

He grinned. "Correct!" His tail swayed from side to side. "First time? Hmm.. and are you enjoying it? Those things always look like a choking hazard, at least to me." His laugh was hollow and it didn't really seem like he found what he said entirely that funny.
"My name?" He tilted his head. He rose to his paws and with a stretch he leaped down from the fence and gave a curt nod in greeting, as well as a flick of his tail. "Hookfang, but you can go ahead and call me Hook if you'd like. I'm used to being called that anyway, that was, before I joined the Clan." He shrugged.
"It's nice to meet you, I guess." He dipped his head.

Maggy tilted her head and studied the clan cat from a distance. He looked kind of like her except he had multicolored eyes. Blackthorn had multicolored eyes as well. The clan cats were so weird. "I have another question. Do all cats of your... Clan have different eyes like you do? I met a cat the other day by the name of Blackthorn.. And he had some weird eyes."
She just didn't quite understand those cats. The tom had introduced himself. There he went with a weird name again. "Alright then, Hook." She purred and smiled at the tom, pleased that he jumped down to her level.
Maggy shuffled her paws nervously and dipped her head to him. "Nice to meet you, too! You're so much nicer than that other clan cat."

"A question? Ask away." His ears twitched when she spoke of the Clan cats. "Oh, really now?" He sat down and laughed slightly. "I see.. So you met the deputy of FireClan I see. Weird eyes, eh? Hmm.. I guess I get them from him." He shrugged. When she asked if all the Clan cats had eyes like his he laughed once again, but this time much louder.
"No, they don't. I mean some may do, but not all. I just got the eyes from my father Blackthorn." He shrugged once again and when she called him by his name he flicked his tail and smiled.
"Haha.. It's been a while since I've been just called Hook." He cocked his head. "Nicer? Well Blackthorn can be a bit uptight sometimes. But don't expect less from a guy like that. His job probably isn't always fun."

Deputy... What the heck was that? Hook started to talk about his unusual eyes. It's not like she meant it in a negative way. It was new to her and... Well, strange. Hook was really strange, though.
"But... You look like me. How could you have those eyes?" Hook said that he might have gotten them from the deputy. The deputy was his father? Who was the deputy again? Figuring out his clan family was confusing and hard.
Her green eyes grew wide and she jumped up to her paws. "Your father is... Is... blackthorn!?" Maggy sighed and sat back down, flicking her tail. "Um... What is a deputy? I think he told me something like that before but I'm not sure."

He glanced at her and she was somewhat right. Besides the white patch, and the obvious eye difference, they were similar. "Mm.. True. Although we are similar, it depends on the genes from family. My father had the eyes. While eyes like these aren't entirely common, by chance I got them too. Not many in my family have them, as far as I know, besides Blackthorn." When she jumped back he stayed seated and just snickered.
"Why is it such a surprise?" He gave a crooked grin. "A deputy is the second in command of the Clan. Basically when the leader is busy or has a job they want done, Blackthorn fills in." He explained. "I'm not that close to him, though."

"Oohh~" she said with interest. That was how he got his weird eyes! His father had weird eyes, too. Hook asked why it was such a surprise that he was Blackthorn's son.
"Hm.. Well, you certainly do make an impression. Your father's first impression was to be claimed as a catnip thief." Maggy shrugged her shoulders after that as if it was no big deal. It really wasn't. She had let him run off with it but she reminded him to ask next time.
Her green eyes blinked curiously at him and her smile turned into a frown. "W-why not...? Why aren't you close to him? U-um.. That's if you don't mind me asking."

"...A cat..nip.. thief?" The tomcat seemed to struggle to conceal his laughter, but after a certain amount of time he just couldn't hold it in any longer. He burst out into a fit of laughter. Imagining Blackthorn steal something from a kittypet was comical for him, for some reason.
He calmed down and smiled slightly. "Oh? What kind of impression is that, the one I make?" Her next question caused him to shrug. "It's not a huge deal. We are still family. He's a busy guy. Plus it's not like our family is together, or one of those cheesy families that all live together happily ever after." He went on.
"Happy endings like that don't exist. They aren't reality." He flicked an ear. "My mother is a med, so she's busy, and my father is a deputy. Both have busy jobs so I don't see 'em much. Plus my being born and all was against the code the Clans go by called the warrior code. Medicine cats can't have kits. I sort of stopped caring."
He shrugged once more. "It's fine." He glanced over at her house then at her. "How 'bout you, how are you and your folks?"

Maggy nodded her head, flicking her tail in slight annoyance. Yes! Blackthorn was her little catnip thief. Her ears pinned back and moved in all kinds of directions, back and forth due to the tom's sudden outburst of laughter. What was so funny? She started to laugh at the thought, too. "He gave me quite the headbutt when we met. I guess I started it but that was mean!" she whined and remembered the headbutt the tom had given her. It really hurt!
"Oh? What kind of impression is that, the one I make?" Maggy thought about it but not for too long. "The feeling I get from you is that you're a pretty cool cat and friendly. In other words, I like you." she purred that last part. Hook was a cool cat to hang out with. "It's not a huge deal. We are still family. He's a busy guy. Plus it's not like our family is together, or one of those cheesy families that all live together happily ever after." That was true. Maggy's family wasn't entirely a happy family. She didn't even know her family, really. Yes, she remembered having memories of them and the memories were barely there.
"Happy endings like that don't exist. They aren't reality. My mother is a med, so she's busy, and my father is a deputy. Both have busy jobs so I don't see 'em much. Plus my being born and all was against the code the Clans go by called the warrior code. Medicine cats can't have kits. I sort of stopped caring." It sounded pretty complicated. Maybe it wasn't to him... anymore. "It's fine. How 'bout you, how are you and your folks?"
"Um... My.. Folks? If you are talking about my parents, I don't recall much about them. I know that I have two brothers, Bart and Oliver, but they disappear(they were sold to a different family.)"

"Ouch, well that sounds like him." He put a paw on his head teasingly. He could totally see Blackthorn pulling a stunt like that. He was a cat of action. He was also quick to bring up any tactic to get what he needed. "Why thank you. I think I'm pretty cool too." He teased, he stuck out his tongue mockingly but it was all lighthearted.
"Maybe I like you too, dunno yet." He flicked his tail and his laugh was lighthearted as well. "Just kidding, you can be cool too, I guess." He cocked his head when she spoke of her family. He frowned slightly but his composure seemed to try and stay the same. He flicked an ear awkwardly.
"Well, that sucks." He looked at her. "Huh.. weird. Sorry 'bout that."

Maggy laughed when Hook admitted that he was cool. "Maybe I like you too, dunno yet." That was okay with her. He was a stranger after all. It wouldn't hurt her feelings except for the fact that she would still be lonely.
Maggy looked at him in a confused way and shook her head. "I can be cool like I'm not cool already. Or, I could become cool..? Well, I guess it means the same either way." Her ears perked forward and she shook her head again. "N-no.. It's okay."

When she started talking about becoming cool he smiled and a small inaudible laugh escaped him. "Nah I'm sorry that happened to you. Losing family isn't any fun. I lost my sister too, so I know the feeling." The only difference was he knew for sure his sister was dead.
"Ever thought about leaving your kittypet home though? Don't you get bored of this lifestyle? Seems dry to me."

"Nah I'm sorry that happened to you. Losing family isn't any fun. I lost my sister too, so I know the feeling." Maggy looked concerned for Hook and shook her head in denial. "I... I don't think it is the same." Hook had lost his sister. Maybe Maggy's brothers ran off and they were still alive. It made her feel bad for Hook. "Ever thought about leaving your kittypet home though? Don't you get bored of this lifestyle? Seems dry to me." Maggy looked over her shoulder at the two leg home and looked back at the tom. "I.... guess so. It does get lonely and there isn't much to do. But, this is the only home I have. If anything, I would be even more alone than I am now if I ran off."
