Perchpaw) The young apprentice stretched and walked out of the apprentices den, wondering if he could pick out any of his friends. Must be out training, I just have a small day off. The turkish van looked around with his odd eyes, trying to see if he can find something to do. The tom yawned, and wondering how his mother was doing, and if he had any more siblings that he could meet. But Owlpaw decided not to get in trouble by messing with the queens and kits, so he laid down and put his head on his orange paws.

Perchkit crept outside of the nursery, careful not to make a single sound. The little black-and-white kit was a very early riser, and she liked it that way because most of her denmates were still fast asleep curled up against their mothers and this gave Perchkit some time away from the obnoxious sounds of mewling and squeaking. Outside, the sky was painted with the soft light colors of dawn and the camp was fairly empty except for the few that hadn't left with the morning patrols. She had decided that she was going to head over towards the freshkill pile to try her first mouse when she slipped on something thick and fluffy. She regained her posture, managing to avoid any harsh contact with the ground and whipped around quickly. "I'm so sorry!" She mewed to the white and orange tom.

Owlpaw was ready to take a early morning nap til sunhigh, flicking his ear from an occasional fly. He was slowly drifting to sleep and nearly jumped straight into the sky from the small fright. He looked around him, until he saw a small kit. He couldn't keep himself from smiling at the she-cat's apology. "It's okay.. What are you doing out here so early?" he asked, but seemed it sounded rude to just ask, and added, "I'm Owlpaw, and you are?" he asked, hoping she was a nice kitten.

"I'm Perchkit." She replied and let out a visible sigh of relief at the way the ginger-and-white tom had handled her clumsy slip up. Perchkit revealed a small smile and moved a bit closer to Owlpaw, deciding to settle down across from him. The little kit knew that it was never a good thing to assume things of others such as automatically expecting that this tom wanted to converse with her but if he had no interest in speaking to her than he wouldn't have asked for her name. "I'm an early riser, I love how calm and quiet the world seems at this time of day and so I like to come out here to observe it." Perchkit dropped her eyes away from Owlpaw's multicolored gaze and stared down at her socked paws instead. She probably sounded like such a feather brain to him.

Owlpaw smiled, "Nice to meet you, Perchkit!" he said, More friends, I do wonder, who her mother is? The patched tom listened to why she was up early and tilted his head. "I guess so, not many cats wake up this early, but if they do, are usually hunting or training," he said. "That's pretty good to observe that! I never thought of it that way," he said, looking around at the dimmed area. "By the way, who is your mother?"

Perchkit tilted her head to one side, curious as to why Owlpaw would want to know the identity of her mother. She always thought that it was pretty obvious who her mother is considering their black-and-white coats and golden colored eyes were a whisker's length away from being identical. "My mother is Fallensnow." Perchkit replied. She wanted to ask why he was interested in such information but it didn't seem like that strange of question, and so she left it for him to further discuss.

Fallensnow, the name rung in his head like it was a key to a door. He smiled, "Hm, then I guess we're siblings. She's also my mother." the tom said, moving his tail to his side. Well, a new sister's nice! he thought, wanting to know his kin. The patched apprentice scratched his ear, and looked at the kit. But.. they look nearly the same? Why do I have orange instead of black?

Perchkit's golden colored eyes widened in shock. Owlpaw was her brother?! She let her eyes roam over his orange-and-white pelt and knew that if he hadn't have asked her about who her mother was, she never would have discovered that he was her sibling. She looked back up into his eyes and smiled sweetly, "I'm happy we found each other, Owlpaw." Her throat rumbled lightly with a purr as she thought about what it was going to be like having a big brother to look up to.

Owlpaw saw how Perchkit acted at the reveal, and sensed a feeling, that she might follow him for an example. Like.. Rosepaw, I can be a mentor! he thought. "Yea, I'm happy to have a sister like you!" he mewed. The tom smiled, blinking his odd eyes. "What do you like to do?"

Perchkit tiled her head to one side as she thought about his question. "Well..." She trailed off with uncertainty. Perchkit was only a couple moons old, she hadn't been on this earth long enough to know how to answer Owlpaw's question. "I really don't think I've experienced enough for it to be fair to answer your question. I've chased a mossball around a couple times and have play fought and, sure, I enjoy doing both of those things but honestly it's only because that's all I've really bee able to do so far in life and both of those just sound like such boring answers." Perchkit sighed and laid her head down, resting her chin on her socked paws.

Owlpaw thought for a while, "Hey," he mewed, nudging her with a paw. "What would you like to do? Something exciting that you want to do?" he thought, wondering since she's younger. Hunting maybe, I was so excited about hunting!

"Climbing." She answered, without even having to think about it. Since the first time she set paw out of the nursery and caught a glimpse of the mountain terrain surrounding their camp, all Perchkit could think about was climbing as high as she could go, coming as close to touching the sky has she possibly could. The desire flowed trough her veins, she was an IceClan cat over all, born with enough strength in their paws and legs to trek up the side of the steepest mountain. "Are you any good?" She asked the apprentice, her golden eyes swimming with excitement.

Climbing, he thought, almost caught by surprise. After thinking a while about it, he thought it seemed really fun. He turned his head to the high terrain their camp was set at, and down at his large paws. He wondered if the other clans had abilities like them, but knew they were all different. Turning to her question, he lowered his eyes, "No.. Well, I don't know, I never tried." The orange and white tom then brightened, "When you're an apprentice, we can go scale the mountains as far as we can!"

Perchkit's ears perked up with interest. "I would love that!" She mewed excitedly. Perchkit couldn't imagine anything better than scaling up a mountain side with her older sibling. It would be such an amazing experience and a wonderful adventure. "Sometimes I feel like I'm never going to make it to apprenticeship though, like times running a lot slower than it's supposed to just to keep from paw's reach." She murmured, and turned her head to the side.

Owlpaw suddenly smiled widely, then sat up taller, praising himself. He sighed with annoyance, "I had that too, it almost seems like every kit has it! But, the longer you wait, the more exciting it gets," he said, remember he almost burst into excitement at his apprentice ceremony, "And I wont miss it! I'll be there."
