Kane strolled through the forest.
It was sometime in the middle of the day. It was slightly hard to tell through all the leaves on the trees, where exactly the sun was in the sky. Still... It was bright out. That meant it was day. That was good enough for Kane.
He wasn't exactly doing anything in particularly, simply walking along as a form of enjoyment. Alas, he groaned. Walks could be fun. Though... He'd been walking for a while. It was getting boring.
He held his head high and looked around. Perhaps there was another wolf around. Hopefully not one who was too grumpy and territorial. He wanted company, not an enemy.

The silvery white hued female picked her way thought the forest carefully, she watched her feet making sure she would not trip just in case today just seemed like the worst she had slipped fallen into the icy cold stream just north of here, fallen over a stump or log what ever it was sent her down a steep hill... That's just the start...
She turned around still a little confused by her surroundings what a day... she glanced over her soft furred shoulder and spotted a large black furred moving shape.. it let out a groan of what seemed to be boardum she tilted her head never had she seen this male. She was not sure if she should bother him the expression he was was almost unreadable expect for the amber optics witch pleaded for some one to end his boring afternoon. She stole a glance away before making up her mind why not meet some new potential friends ... because I would be dead if *father* finds out I shrugged why not then. She padded forwards elegantly seeing how flat the new terrain was she gentaly called a soft hello and continued "I'm Storm of Shadow Dwellers and who might You be?"

Kane spotted a pretty female wolf with a silvery pelt.
He blinked as he watched her make her way over to him. He blinked again when she stopped moving. Then she softly introduced herself in a non-threatening way. Storm? He thought it was both a pretty name and fitting for a wolf of her appearance. He hoped it didn't apply to personality as well...
He folded his ears back and couldn't help but cringe. 'Seriously? A pack wolf? Oh cruel world....' He moaned in his mind. He wasn't a fan of packs. Someone bossing you around? Staking your claim somewhere? Being forced to deal with wolves you might not like? He was a fan of freedom. Packs seemed to take that away in his eyes.
He couldn't help but answer with a slightly sour face. "I'm Kane. Lone wolf." Then he added quickly. "Not a fan of packs."

She too studied the male he did not seem, in the mood to strike but you never new with Males that is. She titled her head his Amber optics brightly glimmering she gave a small warm smile. His eyes flashed with what she read as a negative vibe she frowned a little, It would seem he either had something against her name witch she did not think was the issue and just as if turned out he spoke of not caring for the social life. She shook her winter tinted pelt, and spoke with a smooth voice "Well, Kane wanderer of the Forest I'm Very much please to have met you" she paused as she added "Even if you are not a fan of my life style" she gave a small smile and her optics were shimmering with amusement showing she was not the least bit offended by his comment, in fact she was not much fond of it her self she could not leave the only kin she had left whom happened to be the alpha of her pack so she at least had respect nothing to much worry about for her and on top of all of it she also served as a balance to the pack

Kane relaxed.
Though he was slightly wary of the she-wolf. She didn't appear to be hostile or offended by his lack of approval of packs, despite her being of a pack. That was good. He half expected her to make some strange declaration in the name of her pack which apparently was called 'Shadow Dwellers' and chase him off. Speaking of that, he wondered what kind of name that was. Obviously you wouldn't live in shadows all the time. That was dumb.
He decided not to speak ill of her pack more than he had already, not wanting to pick a fight. "Well... Then if we're all good then... Nice to meet you too, Storm." He wondered why she added 'wanderer of the forest' after his name. It wasn't exactly a title... It was just a fact. A part of his identity that he was a lone wolf.
He scanned around. "Are there any other of your pack lurking around?"

She gave a coutiouse smile her self as they seemed once again to lap into a silence in witch they studied one another. Only to be soon broken with steady voice. She smiled he was not going to argue let alone pick a fight! she dipped her head in a peaceful agreement and shifted her weight a little to her right side as he continued she hopped she had not offended him as well it was just that it was how to define the life of a loner was it not? He suddenly tense witch dragged her pack to the present as he eyed there surrounding susspicusly "No, not unless on of the crazy beasts fallowed me on my morning meandor" she gave a small smile and turned her head as if looking over her shoulder... nothing, no sent, not pelt... they were alone. She once again faced him with a feathery soft voice she asked "what is it like?' she then added knowing he would not know what she was refurring to "To be a Loner that is... Don't you get Lonley...' she thought of the life and did not think it would be for her after all the thought of never having some one there for you startled her more than it should that was her biggest fear... to be forever Alone.. even if she would not admit it

Kane appeared thoughtful.
He was relieved none of her packmates were lurking around. Storm seemed pretty nice, but he knew other wolves could potentially be more disagreeable or hostile. At least this way, he only had to deal with what he currently perceived to be a reasonable wolf.
Though, with what she was saying... It sounded like she was referring to her packmates as crazy beasts. He figured it was some playful teasing. That was a thing wolves did, right? He was pretty sure it was a thing. Probably didn't mean much. He supposed he was reading too much into it.
His ears perked up as she posed her question. He slowly shook his head. "Nah. I'm good on my own. Sometimes I brush past other wolves for a quick chat like this..." He shrugged. "But I'm fine. It's not lonely. I spend my days caring for myself, exploring things, and just watching my surroundings. It's not that bad of a life. It's good enough for me." He grinned. He wasn't about to say it, but Storm's comment about loneliness hit him more than he wanted to admit. He truly was a bit lonely. He wondered if he'd ever find someone who'd like to stay with him. As mates or friends or something.
As a lone wolf... He never exactly had repeated interaction with one wolf enough to build up an actual relationship.

He seemed to ease just at the thought of not having anyone lucking creepily in the shadows and to be honest it calmed her self as well. She tilted her angelic face to the side with a puzzled expression.. as he was content with his not to social life style.. then he added that all his conversations were later cut short as he parted... *Like this* she felt a little strange tug at the thought.. was she simply a bump in the road to him self?
He played of a non the less shrug and added, that his life was not only apparently not Lonely but more like a never ending expedition... How would it be?... She felt a little bit off as he added it was just enough for him.. Did he even know what he was missing sure the life of a pack was strange but it left you at peace knowing you had someone for you all times and that those few bonds could mean life or death it's self.. really they were a Large Family well that's how it was supposed to be her own pack was nothing more than Blood Lusted Freaks that she happened to be born off it was her place no matter how much she hatted the thought she had come to reasoning it was blood... you can't out run something like that it was part of you.. you had to face it boldly and life it... she looked at him with very confused emotions how could he personally find every day great with out a friend in the whole forest not companion no one...
She puzzled over it then stopped it was not her place to judge, nor even think of the life.. but really how would it be no one to tell you what to do.. no one contently keeping an eye on you after all the freedom was just enough to make a tempting offer.. but no she would never make it alone she was to soft she really had no place with anyone did she even have the trust of her fellows.. she stopped her wild thinking and asked "Well, I can see you like your Life.. But why turn your back to the ways of a Pack?" she did not get why the pack was all that much harder nor different..

Kane noticed her confusion.
He wondered what about his life was so confusing. It was plain and simple. He spent his life continuously traveling around the forest surrounding the lake. Bumping into wolves from time to time. Exchanging small talk. Moving on. Alone. It was simple. How could she be confused?
Then Storm asked him why he turned his back on the pack life. He tilted his head to the side. "I was never a pack wolf. How can I turn my back on a life I've never known? I was born to two lone wolves. I left my family when I felt it was time for me to live my own life. Besides... I like the freedom. And don't tell me to not knock something 'till I've tried it." He flattened his ears. "I'm not going to try something that chains me down. Restricts my freedom. Pack life... Is nothing but a prison to me. Excuse me if I'd prefer this lone life of liberty." His ears relaxed and perked up again.
"Sorry if I'm being offensive... But really. I'm alright. I accept that we're different... We lead two separate lives that are more or less polar opposites. Makes it hard to understand the other." He said, trying not to anger Storm in any way.
It was all too true. He didn't understand why Storm didn't just leave her pack. Were they making her stay? He hoped not. To him... Freedom was one of the most precious things a wolf could have. To him, merely being a part of a pack restrained you. To be literally forced to stay? It was a sinful act that would be unforgivable. He simply didn't understand. Though... He was aware that Storm didn't seem to understand his life either.
