DROUGHT OF DEATHCLAN DeathClan didn't have patrols, exactly, but cats often walked around near the borders to keep the scent fresh. Not that they really needed to mark their land. The trees were gouged by claw marks, old prey bones littered the ground, and anyone paying attention would also notice the dried splatters of blood that stained the carpet of pine needles. Hard to say whether that was from infighting or someone driving off an outsider. It was uncommon, but rogues and loners sometimes did get too close.
Today, it happened to be Drought who was on a stroll near the edge of his domain. Everything was peaceful right now. He glanced up in surprise upon hearing rustling in the bushes on his side of the border; had someone decided to join him for his walk? Kirin was new to Deathclan.
As such, he felt it was important to explore what land Deathclan had. He didn't like when other cats had advantages over him, like knowledge. It only reminded him of his 'dear' sister. Thus... He made it his business to learn the territory. Learning what was what, and where said whats were.
He'd found himself rustling through some bushes and coming out through the other end, he saw a cat. It was the leader, Drought. He may have been new, but he knew that at the very least.
He honestly wasn't sure on how to respond. He decided to go with a generic greeting. "Hi."

Starry just wanted to find something to eat before Sunhigh, when it's too hot and the siamese hated hot weather. The she cat spotted a rat Perfect! She said to herself.Starry tried to hide herself on a big bush. However, when she was ready to pounce the creature she noticed that it was gone and on the rat's place there was a black and White tom with blazing amber eyes. Starry padded towards him and nodded in respect "Good morning" The siamese said flicking her blue grey tail The leader had many scars, maybe from the battles that he had. Drought's presence made Starry shiver, but she didn't show any fear on her light blue eyes, they were cold as ice

Vaughn was jumping tree to tree. He landed on a tree branch when he heard rustle rustle it intrigued him. The male stopped and looked down to see Deathclan's very own leader Drought padding the Deathclan territory on a stroll it seemed. He grinned and grabbed onto the branch as he spun around it hanging upside down. His claws held on with a strong grip keeping him from falling.
"Fancy seeing you out." he said. He knew Drought had a distaste for him, however he didn't much care. He then found the person who caused the rustling sound. "... Who are you?" he asked.

DROUGHT OF DEATHCLAN Not someone, it seemed. Multiple cats. Drought was surprised, but vaguely pleased - DeathClan was perking up lately. His following had become larger. Any self-respecting monarch would see that as good news; he was no exception.
There were three peasants here, two new and one that he'd met previously. Not that the patched tom was on very good terms with Vaughn. Nevertheless… if they wanted to check the border with him, that was fine.
"Greetings," Drought meowed with a brief nod towards the trio. "I suppose you're joining me on my walk? We're just taking a look around to make sure there's no trouble." He flicked his tail and resumed his casual walk, letting the peasants follow him if they wished to do so. WORDS: 123 || WRITTEN FOR: Kirin & Starry & Vaughn NOTES - Alright. That's… more than two, but it's fine. Thread is now closed to others - there will be plenty more opportunities to join this plot in the future! template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Kirin's gaze shifted upwards to a cat in a tree.
He didn't like the idea of being looked down on. He narrowed his eyes as his ears folded back. The symbolism of being lower didn't sit well with him. Oh, he would love to knock that moron out of the tree. However, he wasn't sure how such a childish act would be taken with an audience.
"My name is Kirin." He told the tom in the tree with a low voice. Then he turned his head to face Drought, listening to his words. They made sense. Making sure there was no trouble... No pesky siblings intruders should be tolerated. At least, that's what he thought. As the scarred leader resumed his walk, Kirin began to slowly follow.

"Oh come, you must enjoy seeing my presence sense your clans so dead." he mewled landing on his paws and then he padded behind the leader. The male flicked and looked at Kirin and Starry. "So I don't know you two and you don't know me. I was Stormhowler of Rockclan, Stormkit of Treeclan now Vaughn. Whats your name?" he questioned keeping a eye on Drought with a twisted grin. He flicked his tail from side to side and blinked. "Nothing ever changes Drought why do we do this patrols?"

The siamese she cat nodded to Drought and followed the Deathclan leader. Starry presented herself "I'm Starry" She said flicking her blue grey tail He was a clan cat? Starry thought.Deathclan's territory wasn't the best place to have a walk, but it was fine, besides, they needed to mark the borders, well, maybe not. The smell of blood usually scared the other cats but it was good to check it. It looked that Vaughn didn't like Drought at all Why did he left the clans? The she cat wondered

Kirin eyed both Starry and Vaughn.
He'd didn't know much about the clans, so hearing Vaughn was a clan cat didn't mean much to him. Mostly, it sounded like he'd switched allegiances. Not that there was any trust between them at all... But this made him be wary of Vaughn. He turned his attention to Starry. He wondered if she had any background at all.
He personally did not feel particularly keen to share his kittypet background. He was positive they'd doubt him and think him below them. Of course, that was false... But it didn't mean he liked the feeling.
He grunted at Vaughn's requests for names. "I just told you my name." He grumbled.

DROUGHT OF DEATHCLAN The scarred tom twitched one ear in annoyance. It wouldn't have bothered him if Kirin did decide to knock Vaughn down a peg. The ex-Clanner was practically begging for a shredded ear at this point, and besides, DeathClan cats were almost expected to fight amongst themselves. Violence was normal here.
"Silence," Drought growled towards Vaughn without turning to face him. He'd have to consider bringing back public beatings if the younger adult didn't heed the warning. Vaughn was a pest, and the leader was too busy to bother arguing with him.
Oddly enough, something had indeed changed. Drought halted suddenly as he took a deep breath. There was nobody around that he could see, but his nose rarely lied - it smelled as if FireClan cats had been here.
"No... They wouldn't dare...!" WORDS: ## || WRITTEN FOR: Kirin & Starry & Vaughn NOTES - Writing from my phone's browser because the wifi's been down for almost a day. Not ideal. template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Starry noticed that the black and White leader started to smell the air. Why is he doing that?Well, let's see! And the siamese started to sniff the air.The she-cat wrinkled her nose "Fireclan!" Starry snarled and bristled her creamy almost White fur "What are they doing here?!They have enough territory to feed themselves already!" She hissed flicking her blue grey tail with anger "If they want a fight we can give them a fight!" However it wasn't up to Starry to decide what Deathclan would do with Fireclan. She just sat down again and waited for Kirin's and Vaughn's reaction. Let's wait, maybe Drought doesn't want to have a fight right now...but wait,we are Deathclan,we Always look for blood and fights right? the siamese thought

Kirin's expression didn't change, but he did enjoy hearing Drought silence Vaughn.
That Vaughn guy seemed kind of annoying. To question the leader? A bit arrogant. Kirin would concede that he himself had pride. But he wasn't stupid enough to state everything on his mind. Still... He didn't dare smirk. Not seeming like a jerk in any shape or form appeared to be in his best interests.
Then suddenly they stopped. Kirin wondered what came up. Then he noticed both Drought and that she-cat sniffed the air. He sniffed the air himself, even if he didn't know what he was smelling. Other than the fact that it didn't exactly smell like the rest of the territory.
Starry identified it for him. Drought appeared to be angry and offended. Starry burst out saying Fireclan already had territory and that they would fight them if a fight would come up. Sounded like Fireclan was some rival group. Maybe one of those weirdo clans? He'd heard tales of them as a kittypet.
He let out a low growl. If there was anything he hated... It was cats taking what didn't belong to them.

Fable didn't normally take strolls, it would ruin his coat. With thistles, those annoying seeds that always stick like magnets to your pelt, and aggressive cats would ALSO ruin his pelt.
He wouldn't go out and take a look at a few cats yowling of battle, and preferred isolation. But... Was something about another Clan, and he enjoyed a good scuffle every now and again. 'A scuffle is all a clan cat can put up now.' Fable thought.
And another thing, the Leader was present in this conversation, so must be important. He strode confidently towards the noise. And rustled through some brambles, stopping at a clearing. "What is this I hear about... Fireclan cats inside the border?" Fable meowed, flicking a bramble leaf from his well-groomed pelt.
His vibrant yellow eyes scanned the other cats, the largest and most scarred he guessed to be Drought. No idea who the others where... Oh well, didn't need to.

DROUGHT OF DEATHCLAN He wasn't sure what the deal was, exactly. Maybe FireClan was having problems that ended up with them trespassing here, or perhaps it was the fault of that new deputy. Blackheart or Blackpine or Blacksomething. The higher-ranking cats in the prairie group were rather known for their arrogance, so he could believe that this was the case.
They were gone now; he could scent that much. Better to be safe though. Drought turned to face his three followers. "Spread out and search," he ordered sharply. "I want to be absolutely sure there's nobody else hanging around first. If you find an intruder, kill them."
Seconds later, the leader had clawed his way up a nearby tree to get a better view of the area. He'd wait here for Starry and Kirin and Vaughn to return from their searches. FireClan would pay dearly for this stunt; Drought just needed a moment to think. WORDS: 152 || WRITTEN FOR: Kirin & Starry & Vaughn NOTES - Slate, unfortunately all of the spots in this thread have already been taken. I'm already stretching it with three instead of two. Please delete your post; if you wish to have a part in the plot, you will have to try to get one of the slots in the next thread. In other news: I am officially back from vacation and returning to roleplay on Drought. Skipping Vaughn's turn because they haven't replied. template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Kirin's attention was shifted back to Drought.
The black and white leader's clear orders were barked. Search for any morons that may still be hanging around. If there are... Kill them. Kirin had never killed anyone before. However, the idea was thrilling. He kept a grin from slipping onto his face. He watched as Deathclan's leader climbed up a tree. Kirin assumed he was going to stay there and wait for himself, plus the two others that were present on this... Walk? Patrol? Whatever it was.
He turned tail and picked a direction to search for any idiots sticking around, sniffing for that stench he'd smelled that had been identified for him as Fireclan. He secretly hoped there was someone sticking around of that thieving group.
He'd never had the chance to, but killing someone sounded fun.
