Calling you out (open)

[Brackenpaw]

Brackenkit was still kinda new to the whole 'being new to the world and everything in it' thing. Yet she loved it. There was never a dull moment in discovering things around the nursery. But one thing the she cat really did want. Was someone to discover things with. She was sitting in the corner of the nursery looking at a plant and wondering all types of things. How it grew. How it got there. And while she was looking at this plant she hadn't realized that someone had approached her.

Redkit couldn't help but notice the she-cat. She was just sitting in the corner, staring at a plant. It was a little odd, a bit creepy. He padded up and poked her shoulder with one paw. "Hey, uh, are you alright?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. This kit seemed odd, but then again she was also quite young. She could just be curious about the plant in front of her. Either way, Redkit had to make sure she wasn't like, a demon.

Brackenkit watched the plant for a moment longer before turning to the voice that had seemed to be talking to her. Oh, well yes I am quite alright. Just a little curious. She meowed softly and looked down at her paws, as if feeling embarrassed that someone had caught her in this action. She spent another moment in this position before lifting her head to look at the tom. Um. The name is Brackenkit, in case you wanted to know. Meowed the little kit. As a small draft blew through the nursery she fluffed out her black and brown fur, and gazed around the den with her blue eyes before looking back at the unnamed tom kit.

Redkit let out a small chuckle and shook his head. "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Brackenkit." He purred, sitting down and curling his tail around his paws. "I'm Redkit, by the way." He said quietly, giving her a smile. "Look, I'm sorry if I was a little...I don't know, weird about that. Not every day I see kits silently staring at plants, though." He said with a purr at the end.

"So, who's your mom? Mine's Fallensnow." He said a little louder, cocking his head again.

Brackenkit gave a small laugh and gave a smile. Oh well... The pleasure is all mines, Redkit She purred softly and dipped her head to avoid his gaze. She was shy around new/other people. Great, you're going to blow this Bracken. She thought to herself as she stared at the ground. No no it's okay. It was pretty weird. Bracken giggled and gave Redkit a smile. She then noticed she was looking at the tom and looked back at the ground. My mother is Petalfur. I'm sure Fallensnow is a great mother. She meowed, and shuffled her paws awkwardly.

Redkit smiled softly at the kit. It was obvious she was new to the whole 'Talking to others' thing. He could remember his own shy phase when he was her age. "Petalfur, cool. I heard she's like, an awesome warrior. I heard one kit say she hunted down a wolf. Granted I don't think that's entirely true. But what do I know?" He said sweetly, chuckling a little bit. His own mother mostly stayed within the Nursery, and only left to take kits on trips outside the camp.
