The avoidable was rapidly growing into the inevitable. She had felt it deep down at some point. When? She was rather unsure. Yet, she felt it. She was positive that she did. Well, at least she is now positive of it.
The wolf raises her marred muzzle, eye unblinking. The mountains loomed before her, their snow-covered peaks, which brushed against the southernmost point of the moon on clear days, made obscure by spirals of silver-lined clouds.
Alas, she was a hypocrite. She wanted to live life to the fullest, but only destroyed others. Broken Shadow was in love with destruction. She still questioned, begged the gods for answers. They were all undeserving of such punishment. Mates, enimies, friends- all of them betrayed.

Her gaze fell to the base of the mountains, sights now set foreign locations. Nostrils caught the fresh stench of two creatures; the first a creature who was still unable to identify, while the latter was a stag. The two were not easily located, shrouded by a wall of bark and vegetation, which, at first, seemed like an improbable place to hide. The low hanging branches and tangles swayed, having been pushed aside recently. Muzzle shoved past the veil, expecting to collide with a wall of rocks but swimming in open air instead. Green and blue colored hues shifted from left to right; the femme had froze at the edge of the rock before her, three twisty passages beckoned to her, but she had not progressed further.
Enough was enough, the female lowered her chest toward the ground, then sprung into a random passage. Her patchy, black pelt quickly blending into the murky black.
Broken Shadow was never seen again.
