You got two lives down and one life left Redkit paced in a circle. Today had so far been annoying uneventful. His ear twitched in dissatisfaction. Everyone seemed to be such a goody-two-paws around here, it was annoying. After all, he could hardly consider himself a threat to criminals if their were no criminals to begin with.
Huffing, the ginger tom looked around, figuring that if he couldn't bring a villain to justice than he could at least find someone to play with.
"Hiya," Redkit padded up to a the first cat he spotted and introduced himself with a toothy grin, "I'm Redkit, what'da they call you?"

Sweetkit looked up at the approaching kit."Um...Sweetkit..thats what'da call me"She playfully mimicked his words.She tilted her head wondering what he wanted. Or if he just wanted to play she didnt care.

You got two lives down and one life left "Ooo, Sweetkit, I like that name. Did they name you that 'cause you taste sweet?" Redkit asked with a wicked grin, leaning a smidgen too close to the she-cat, his long tongue swiping over his jaw in anticipation. He refrained from licking Sweetkit though, after all, he did have some manners... Some.
"Anyway," the ginger cat moved back again, bouncing slightly on his paws, "you look pretty rad. You wanna play with me? Yesterday I was searching for an escapee from the FORTRESS OF DOOM," he exclaimed the last part dramatically, signaling with his tail towards a large pile of moss collected in the corner of the nursery, "and I could always use a, uh, "partner in crime" to help me with my investigation," Redkit chuckled a bit at his own little joke, waiting expectantly for the other kitten to give him an answer.

Sweetkit didnt flinch when he made the comment or almost licked her."Sure..This place is boring"She jumped up in excitement. Then licked her paw with a smile."Ok then..and no they called me sweet cause of my eyes...not my attitude"She smirked.

You got two lives down and one life left Redkit chuckled a bit, he liked this she-cat's attitude.
"Okay then, well, I guess I should fill you in on all the details," the tom cleared his throat before speaking in an announcer-type voice, "our runaway is a large male, about the size of my paw, with shiny green coloring and two brown spots. He may be able to fly. Possibly. The expertise at the facility may or may not have forgotten to test this particular villain before locking him up," Redkit coughed and looked away before continuing, "he also has four, stick-like legs and a weird horn thingy on the front of his face. It's totally cool looking," the ginger kitten finished describing his escapee, his voice slipping back into his usual raspy one, "I'm not particularly sure where he wen't, but since I heard someone shriek a little while ago, I'm willing to bet my whiskers he's still crawling around in here somewhere."

Sweetkit gave herself a minute to think. Is he talking about a cat...No...a bug. A bug!She guessed...."Ok..then do you know who the victim of the screaming is"She said in a low voice so noone but redkit could hear her.

You got two lives down and one life left "Not exactly," Redkit mewed, mimicking Sweetkit's volume, "I happened to be repairing some minor damage to the FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE at the time," he glanced back at the gallant moss-fort with pride.
Truly beautiful, he thought before continuing with his conversation.
"What I do know that it came from the southwest side of the den," the ginger tom said, gesturing with his tail towards the area in which the scream had originated, "pffft. The stupid criminal didn't even have the smarts to escape while he had the chance. I'm gonna interpret that it was because he's just a fishbrain, but we should still be wary of ambush. After all, this guy could have called over some of his buddies during the middle of the night," Redkit said, focusing his teal-blue gaze in the general direction in which he had pointed earlier, searching for anyone that could have made the scream he had heard. Sweetkit nodded. She looked over back at the moss..of solitude? She set her mind to work so they new he could have a ambush set up that means they shouldnt split up."Ok...We should investigate"She said looking over at the area ready for the worst to come.

You got two lives down and one life left "I like your thinkin', Sweetie," Redkit mewed with a nod, the cheshire-like grin he had been carrying never slipping from his features. His ginger tail flicked passively in the direction of where he had earlier heard the scream originate, "now, I suggest the best way to go about investigating is to head over there. It's probably going to be better if we stick close, given our potential threat, but doing our own separate look through's should be fine as long as we don't drift too far from each other," the chubby tom-kit said in a focused, giving the area a good glance over from where he was standing. The scene was mostly flat, which was good, they just had to make sure they were careful about what was under the moss. He then turned to Sweetkit, "if you have a plan, though, I'd like to here. It's always good to have fresh viewpoints."

She rolled her eyes at his nickname. She listened closely developing a plan as he talked.Hmm...well we definetly shouldnt split up to far and he could have brought his friends. Sticking together is a essential. Well if we get there leader...they probably will all fall. His voice snapped her out of her deep thought."Hmm...Maybe if we take out there elader they will cower"She said flicking her tail.

"Defiantly," the ginger mewed, giving Sweetkit's shoulder and appreciative flick for her insightful input, "but we got to keep in mind that the escapee might not exactly be the big bug in charge. He could just be a simple-minded cronie with superb escape tactics. We also don't know for sure if there will be more than one criminal hiding out over their, although it's always better to be prepared when fighting crime. Now, if we do happen to run across a group the best form of attack would of course be to go for the largest villain. Seeing as the big guy is usually in charge," the tom said, liking the feeling of being able to discuss such matters. It wasn't usual he had someone to chase criminals with, "whatever happens over there, don't forget to inform you partner before making any split decisions, 'K?" Redkit followed his questions with a knowing wink, directing his teal gaze back towards where the escapee potentially waited. It felt nice to have a partner, it made him feel like a Leader with his awesome Deputy, instead of a chubby little kit acting out another over-dramatized investigation.

Sweetkit nodded sniffing makeing her way forward. She circled around a nest with a queen sleeping in it.'Dont wake up the Wendigo"It wa sa word she had made up..just now. She slowly made her way past when her eyes landed on it.'There's one!"She said pointing her tail toward's a tick makeing it's way across the floor.
