I padded into the elder's den, poking my head in. "Bouncer gets low on the ground. Will she fool her ol' man.. Maybe her luck is just yet today." I crouched down, sneaking silently into the den with quiet steps. "C'mon, closer.." I spotted the calico elder, my eyes narrowed, my tail lashing. Go!! I aimed to pounce but I'm pretty sure he noticed me. I frowned. "Awww c'mon ol' man. Can't you let me scare you just this once. Gotta leave me some room for fun with you." I managed a cheeky laugh.

"How you doing Papa?" I circled around him, giving a chipper grin. "If you need anything just holler. I'm lazy, but maaaaybe I can manage some time to help you with stuff. Eh, eh?" I nudged his side.

"Of course you're not scaring me. I might be blind, but my ears are still working, thanks."

Maplefrost's words might have been half-growled, but he didn't really mean it. It was hard to be angry at one of his kids. He flicked his long-furred plume of a tail when Fluffybounce tried walking around, hoping he'd manage to whack the she-cat's forehead with it.

Stifling a yawn, the elder spoke again. "Hrrrm… I wouldn't mind help with these ticks if you're really offering community service. They've been digging their little teeth into my back, right where I can't reach them. Infuriating little buggers."
