Raggedwolf grumbled in complaint but obediently made way for Applescorch in his nest, not for a moment thinking it was odd. "Of course, trust Snailpaw to blab." His eyes narrowed with worry for a moment and the tabby looked at Applescorch. "Is he alright? He seemed bothered by it last time and I don't.....I think it might make it worse if I take him out training and something happens again." Of course something like this would happen the first time he'd gotten an apprentice. The tom completely blamed himself.

Want me to take him out training instead? It'll give you a chance to heal that weak butt of yours up." She smirked, but there was actual care in her gaze.

Raggedwolf breathed a sigh of relief, then immediately felt guilty. "So long as it's no trouble." He smiled and settled down. "But don't be too hard on him, I know what you're like." He was only scolding her slightly, but his gaze was sincere.

Applescorch snorted and shook her head. "I've always wanted an apprentice, this'll be nice practice." She stood up and smiled down at Raggedwolf again. "Leave it to me. You go bang on the medicine cat's door again, it'd be a pain if the wound got infected." With that last comment she hurried out of the den.
