Do they have to start at a specific age, like Deathclanners and clan cats do?
Or can you just go ahead and RP as an adult at like 12 moons?

You can go ahead and RP as an adult. I can't particularly remember how that works if you choose to later join Deathclan or a Clan, however. You may be granted permission to continue RP'ing as an adult, or you may be forced to RP as your post count indicates. You may want to ask Ragabash, who is one of the admins.
