Logically he knew that there was little to do to prolong a lifespan, but Bumblekit had already decided that there was no way he'd let Hailkit die. She'd long out-live him, he was sure. Since his friend had apparently dealt with the situation he settled down, allowing his fur to lie flat. Rosekit tore off, apparently going to find Violetkit, or maybe to spend time with someone else. He wasn't entirely sure.
The pale tabby turned to Hailkit and snorted. "Well, that certainly threw a kink in my day," he said, trying to move past the awkwardness. "I hope my whole life isn't this dramatic, it's exhausting."

"O-oh. Bye, then." Hailkit frowned. Rosekit sounded pretty defeated. I guess it's her problem. She shrugged it off. Dealing with emotional cats was too stressful.
She laughed, giving Bumblekit a nudge. "You can hope, but I think you're gonna have a very eventful life." She stretched her legs and yawned. "That whole ordeal made me sleepy. I should probably check where my brother is, too." She turned away, beginning to pad back to Spiderleaf's nest. "Talk to you soon, okay?"
