Unity
Lily was sitting simply in the vast plains.
She enjoyed her grassy seat. It was relatively soft, better than sitting on wood or stone. She sighed and looked up towards the softly colored blue sky. The sun shone behind her, she wasn't stupid enough to position herself so she was staring at the sun. There were no clouds in the sky, simply the quiet blue.
The sunlight pressed light warmth into her clean, snow-like fur. Days like this, she was quite happy her pelt was not black. Then, she might not be quite as comfortable being outside in this sort of weather.
Her ears perked. Someone was approaching. She sighed. "I know you're there. No use hiding." She called out, sounding slightly irritated.

Unity On the other paw there was Unity, a based black tortoiseshell with multiple shades of gray splotched all over her short-haired pelt. So on days like this, these sickening hot days. Her dark colors were never the greatest.
At this point in time the she-cat had taken cover in a nearby bracken bush, hiding away underneath were the ground was cooler and just slightly dampened. Not only was there the cold but a refreshing mist from her own warm body was being created underneath her. Over all it was quite the great experience.
Unity had been so tied up in her thoughts and damp earth that she had barely noticed a white female before her, situated in the grass before her spot. And this particular female had the nerve to make her seem mouse brained. With that she merely replied, "I think I'll stay in here. The sun is rather relentless on white one."

Lily shrugged.
"Suit yourself, mysterious stalker." She replied. Apparently this cat didn't appreciate the sun. Perhaps some cat with a dark pelt. Plus she sounded like a she-cat. Thus, she concluded that her unknown company must be some she-cat loner of dark colors. She sighed blissfully.
"At the very least... I think I shall reveal to you my name. Name's Lily. You?"

Unity The loner stayed crouched under the bush, her ears perked intently to listen to what this other cat was trying to say. At least she wasn't all hostile, that was good. Although, with her stops between sentences it was almost as if she was configuring in her mind, trying to figure something out almost. Hopefully this figuring out wasn't of how to kill Unity.
She then revealed her name, Lily it was. By the name and voice Unity's best guess was that this cat was indeed a female. So, taking her chances she pulled her multiple colored pelt out of the bracken and mewed, "Unity." Her silver eyes glinting off the sun that was high in the sky. Almost immediately did she feel the heat as it was attracted to her pelt. there are two kinds of people in the world; those who look to the future, and those who look to the past. nette of gs

Lily could hear rustling behind her.
She assumed the dark colored she-cat pulled herself out of the shade. Most likely only for a short while, seeing how the sun was shining down, exerting it's warmth. A blessing for Lily, a slight punch in the face for the mystery she-cat.
She decided to turned her seat around so she was facing the mystery she-cat. She'd said her name was Unity. Lily saw the multicolor patchwork of dark fur that was the loner that had been speaking before.
... Was that her imagination or were Unity's gray eyes literally sparkling?! That was strange. She was fairly sure her own soft blue eyes didn't sparkle like that. Perhaps shine with inner light, like a light reflecting inside a gemstone.
"Interesting name."

Unity This female, like herself was obviously not one for words. Not one for speaking much. So when she merely mentioned her name as 'interesting' Unity wasn't offended. Many cats she had met thought of her name as interesting, unique, or different. But they weren't wrong, for the loner had never met another Unity, nor knew completely of its meaning. Or what it was meant compared to her. Never knowing her past or much about her parents she figured she would never know.
"So Lily, as in the flower Lily?" She questioned, trying to back as far into the shade of the nearby bush as possible. Unity preferred her skin to stay on rather than melt off. there are two kinds of people in the world; those who look to the future, and those who look to the past. nette of gs

Lily greatly enjoyed that Unity was a blabbering mess.
Honestly, some cats simply just talked their mouths off. It was... Annoying. She might've been more talkative, a long time ago. She'd since learned that caution was important for survival. Never jump in on first impulse unless you're sure of yourself, backed by legitimate facts. Definitely not your possible ego.
Lily nodded. "Yes, as in the flower." She tilted her head. "And, Unity? As the thing those strange clans have?" She questioned. She knew perfectly the definition of unity. Mm... Perhaps it was for her pelt, all those mixing colors thankfully didn't clash. The horrid thought of a rainbow mixed pelt crossed her mind. Horrifying.

Unity Unity had indeed never known what her name meant, often guessing it was because of her pelt and the way it was laid out. But this was only one scenario, never knowing where she had actually come from there may have not even been a word of clans. So whatever it was, there was a reason.
Staying pulled back in the shade she replied, "Yeah, i guess we can go with that." Unity didn't really care much for what other's called her, as long as it wasn't troll or prickle. Something childish along those lines. To most she was just 'that odd pelted loner'. The female sure got around, going anywhere from the caves and the canyon to the meadow and plains. Although she had not yet ventured into Deathclan territory. For she had no death wish.

Lily noted that Unity was pressing into the shade, all without retreating back in the bush.
That would be rude. Or smart. Could be either. Often intelligent actions were terribly rude. Either logic or emotion won in any situation. Honestly, right now she felt like she was following her heart. Willing to speak with this cat. They didn't know each other. Was Unity luring her into a false sense of security? One could argue that if she wanted to hurt Lily, she would've already. However, she knew the value of biding your time.
She pushed the thought aside. Dang thoughts bringing her into the land of paranoia. She hadn't spoken to many. Time spent alone and with the few loners she passed by being far from friendly, she was a bit behind in the way of knowing how to socialize with the proper charm.
She simply shrugged in response to Unity's question. "Oh, just passing through."

Unity Just passing through was probably the most casual answer anyone could come up with. Murders used it, thieves used it, basically everyone used it even if they were good at heart. On one paw, Unity trusted too easily. Frankly she was surprised she had survived this long. On the other paw she was different to the cats she met. Mostly because of her name but to most they were fascinated.
"We all pass through at some point..." She mewed, and it was true. The loner was basically moving everywhere, trying everything and so on. "I guess I just adore exploration." Look at this lazy fiend nette of gs

Lily was the type to divulge little as possible.
She was simply that sort of cat. She had trust issues, she was reserved. She didn't give herself so easily. Any cat that wanted to befriend her had to work for it. The problem was she'd always feared being betrayed. She wasn't sure where the fear originated from. Perhaps it was from a desire to survive.
Lily shrugged. "Indeed. Though... I believe the thought of settling down somewhere has occurred to us all."

Unity The loner snorted and smirked, bringing a paw up. Licking it she brought it over her head and mewed, "I haven't really though about settling down just yet." She purred, she was still so young and had so much more to do with her life than to 'settle down'. Not even yet reaching adulthood she wanted to milk life until it was dry. Then maybe she would settle down.
"I don't know about me Lily." Unity sighed, her eyes flashing with mischief. "I do love my freedom and adventure." where muse, where have you gone </3 nette of gs

Lily wouldn't tell anyone.
She secretly craved company even if it was full of jerks. At least she'd have someone to thrash rather than a lot of nothing to talk to. Though, she always did hope for a friend she could honestly and truly trust. Unfortunately, cats like that were far and few in between. You never knew who had an ulterior motive for 'befriending' you.
She nodded. "I agree... I do enjoy relishing in my own freedom. I might settle down someday though... Far in the future."

Unity Unity didn't have an issue with being alone, probably because that was all she knew. Although she did enjoy the occasional company of another non-hostile loner, such as Lily. Sure this cat seemed a little irritable at first, but there was something deeper. One could sense it, especially in her conversation. It sounded as if her tongue was being bitten. As if she wanted to say more but she forced herself not to. This was very intriguing, and Unity loved to crack a good nutshell.
"Speaking of settling down," She mewed, looking up towards the sky, "I wonder if the sun is by any chance going to go hide behind those clouds. That would be... great." there are two kinds of people in the world; those who look to the future, and those who look to the past. nette of gs

Lily knew she and Unity shared something in common.
Unity didn't seem to be the impulsive type. More likely to think things out. Although, Lily was perfectly aware she could allow rage and emotion to override her logic at times. She was intelligent, despite her somewhat violent temper. Though she knew they were different cats. Ever since Lily had lost her original family and suddenly been alone, she'd been somewhat desperate to regain that feeling of family someday.
Too many times she'd been disappointed by the coldness of the world. "Mm.... It would be rather pleasant. Let us hope." She agreed. She watched the cloud upwards. Soon, the clouds stretched over the sun. She sighed at the sunlight's warmth ascended upwards, away from her fur. She supposed she couldn't have everything.
